Yeah I liked the fantasy elements, a-la Indianna Jones, Stonehenge means Britain is the centre of the universe, hehe! I'm sure the doc will be ok, but I'm gonna miss this incarnation if they change actors.
Falcom have been working on a new beat 'em up featuring Falcom characters, looks pretty interesting. They are also remaking several titles for portable consoles including the Brandish saga.
Awesome charas link:

Anyone miss the prog. the other day about the gladiator skeletons...may be a repeat. We're busy excavating hundreds of Saxon burials here in Thanet, Kent - still, not as interesting as mauled bodies ^^

O A-Ko is awesome. I got the boxset recently with soundtrack, digitally remastered and all. Brings back memories.
umm i totally don't recall any blood-draining killings happening in manga/anime that were like that.
The nearest I could equate it to would be the Blue Sonnet manga.
I'm with Chaos on the recommendations, but if u fancy some stuff that's fairly Ghibli-esque and/or summery (I'm assuming you've seen all the films), try the four "seasons" animes (Clannad, Air, ONE and Kanon) or SOMEDAYS DREAMERS? They are my favourites!
I dunno, I always make sure my players are multi region, a lot of them will play both these days. I remember the old days when you'd see an NTSC conversion on a fan video, those colours were crazy...it was awesome.
