Otaku UK take postal orders, cheques and Paypal and can order anything you want, plus they don't charge P&P for DVDs or CDs.
The one thing you need to be aware of with the Nadesico movie is it lacks everything the TV series had. There's no humour, it's very dark, very depressing and if the...
Silly quiz and the moe question was wrong, as it's a love for young female characters, but hey! it's the BBC
I got 6/8 because 2 of the questions were something I just wouldn't know about!!
That's a little presumptious!
I liked Bleach until the never ending fights in the shinigami world! I gave up at episode 36. The likelihood is D. Gray-man will be a 13 or 26 episode series, so there won't be enough of it to get too bored!
Besides I give every shounen fight/action series a chance...
You could try Ranma 1/2 (same creator as Maison Ikkoku). It's an extremely funny anime, with great characters. Very long running (7 seasons).
If you want some other long running series then try these:
Inuyasha (shounen)
Hunter x Hunter (shounen)
One Piece (shounen)
Marmalade Boy...
D. Gary-man wasn't too bad, although it's hard to gauge from just 1 episode. The characters look like they're going to be very interesting and the overall storyline seems quite refreshing.
Pumpkin Scissors was the opposit! Very cliched storyline (post-apocolyptic world, military power...
I downloaded the first episode yesterday, just have to watch it now. It was like D. Gray-man, as the group rushed a quick 1st episode out the day after it aired in Japan!
They're incompatible with my PC as well! I check the format before downloading anything these days, as I've downloaded tons of stuff and not been able to watch it!

I might be tempted by Gunslinger Girl at some point, but I have enough ideas of what to watch to keep me going for a while...
There's very little in anime that offends me. Infact the only thing I can think of is using young girls as a part of an unnecessarily violent storyline!
Thanks for the info though. I most will most likely get it eventually ^__^
I've seen Getbackers and it's not what I class as a typical shounen fight/action anime, as the average age of the main characters is over 16 and they don't have to go through the building up of powers scenario the average shounen show has the characters do!
I love Getbackers for very shallow...
D.Gray-man is the only thing I fancy, although Ayakashi Ayashi looks interesting, but a little too short (trailer) to glean if it's something I'd enjoy!
Trailers aren't always the best way to decide what anime to watch, as they're often as bad as DVD trailers in giving very little information...
@Laughing Manji: again thanks ^__^
Might leave Gunslinger Girl for a while, as it sounds like something that might annoy me if the girls are that young. I'm put off shows that depict young girls in unnecessary situations (like Elfen Lied) and I know it's purely because I have 2 daughters and...
@Laughing Manji: Thanks ^__^
Have you seen Beet the Vandel Buster? as it's being released on region 1 DVD in January (or December or something!) and I quite liked the sound of it, but it's a big investment; 10 DVDs @ £15 each and wanted to know if it would be worth while.
I've seen Flame of...
Mezzo was fun! It was more episodic than deep meaningful plotline, but that doesn't mean it was bad! I loved Forte - even without the sex scenes  and enjoyed watching DSA just as much. A bit more gore would have been nice!
Wolf's Rain I'm enjoying and it's definitely worth checking out...
Just paid for my order to Otaku! Getting Hikaru no Go volume 4, Green Green volume 2 and Tactics volume 2. Plus after very little deliberation, decided to try out Gun x Sword ^__^
Kino's Journey is one of the best value thinpaks available at the moment!
You could try Wolf's Rain, although it's released in 2 boxsets.
Mezzo DSA is worth a watch, although it's action based and not a thinky job.
Arjuna is a very nice anime, quite mature, but you'll have to be able to...
40 episodes minimum  They don't come into play, but Gungrave is something I've been thinking about and I've seen Orphen (it's not a shounen based fight anime. By that I mean it has to follow a formula of weak characters getting stronger throughout the series - which is why there's a...
I kept seeing that everywhere I looked! I even saw a preview and every time though noooooooooooo! Too ugly, nothing appealing, but if I get really desperate for some samurai action, I may have no choice :?
Me again  Thought it best to start a new thread for this, as it's different to the other one ^__^
Anyway, here is the question: I want to know if I've overlooked any shounen based action anime, as I need a new one to watch.
Here's a list of what I've seen:
Hunter x Hunter
