I think the mystery film is the same in Glasgow and Edinburgh, though maybe @anime_andrew could confirm? For people who live locally, or were planning on visiting for both weekends it would probably be viable to do the Promare event and fill in the gaps at the GFT.
I think the Filmhouse is pretty central as well. It's only 10 mins from Haymarket train station, you just follow Morrison Street straight along until it turns onto Lothian Road. It doesn't really take any longer than going from Glasgow Central to the GFT. Then Princes Street is only 10 mins or...
I'd recommend checking out this new interview with Andrew Hewson from Manga and James Dobbin from National Amusements if you get the chance, it's a pretty interesting look into UK theatrical. They mention in it that there are a few films in the pipeline for UK release that have already had US...
Noticed it's missing from the list, but I imported a copy of the US release of Land of the Lustrous and it plays fine on my PS3 and Blu-ray player. I would assume it's just geolocked like the other newer Sentai stuff.
I've booked tickets for all the Fri-Sunday films. Very interested to see Miss Modern, for some reason I feel like I have positive expectations of it but I'm not actually sure what it was I read about it that's making me feel that way.
If you go into the actual ticket booking section of the Filmhouse website, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is now listed for Sunday, even though it hasn't been added to the main SLA page yet. I hope NGNL is still in the works, but I'm not sure now.
Well, for me, the first time I watched an anime knowing what it was was Kill la Kill. At the time, I had watched finished Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Season 4 of Korra was just about to start up. I was interested in watching another animated show with a character like Korra in it, and I...
When it was originally announced, the number on the spine was a 2 in the press shots, but it was edited after a week or so to be a 1. I'd quite like to know what the story behind this was as well, was it a joint project with Zavvi that got cancelled or something?
It's not really much of an issue to me, I'll keep the podcasts banked up and listen to them on my way to and from work over a few weeks in between other shows. I don't try and cram them all into five days, I just take my time and work through them as I feel like it. It's not compulsory to listen...
A random thought that just occurred to me. Does anybody know what happened to the series of Steelbooks that AL were supposed working on with Zavvi? Perfect Blue was supposed to be the first of a collection, but I don't remember hearing anything else since it was released about what else is...
Is there any particular reason why AL couldn't get a sub-licence from Manga in exchange for a revenue split or something to make an ultimate edition? Or do it as a joint project of some kind?
If anyone is interested, box office for each period of the films release up until this Sunday was as follows.
