Give it a go, when I first caught sight of it on Anime Central (A-N-I-M-EEEEEEE) I thought it looked so-so. When I actually watched it I couldn't have been more wrong. Its really good. Magic Knight rayearth is also good.

UP1's prices depend on the exchange rate when they bought the DVDs, so with the rate improving their prices won't be best. Its the downside to how they work, you don't have to worry about customs or long shipping but the prices are not current.

If they think its a commercial transaction they will ignore the 'gift'.
