Addendum to previous post- to my knowledge, nowhere in Europe currently has the Hathaway sequel which likely points to Sunrise/Bandai Namco not wanting a rollout here until autumn at the earliest. If that is indeed the case, there's obviously nothing Anime Limited can do about it.
Like I said...
London trains announced to be restarting Monday so on paper I can go to the new permanent Gundam Base next weekend. Won't be the opening Friday and I've heard nothing of a preview event this time (be it an invite like I was graced with last time or a public facing competition) so presumably it's...
In my cynicism I don't view a tentative date as confirmation. I'm currently awaiting an announcement of a confirmed release window that would mean it's locked in.
I'm not trying to be a dick here. There's just been so many delays and fallen through plans with Gundam here I now don't take...
I'm dejected Ghost in the Shell didn't come to Bedford. There's every chance Akira didn't do well enough to encourage further but I'd have happily supported this locally. A heatwave and a fatal train crash nixed any notion of travelling out of town to participate.
Begging @Hanners or whoever can make it possible- bring Tomino to the UK and let me interview him. We will have the most wonderfully despondent dialogue about Gundam and the world.
So off the back of the news Gundam X was getting AI subs, a lot of self righteous posts from Americans insisting Bandai never shows Gundam any respect there. Which is BS but I've long since got used to Americans embodying the "You took my only food. Now I'll starve!" Spongebob meme.
The outrage...
I haven't had any indication I'll be invited to officially cover the permanent Gundam Base (my major booster left the company at the start of the year) but the Bedford train crash is giving me major pause. It's on the route I'd have to take and happened right next to where I live.
I know I lean...
I'm not too surprised from a company that wasted billions on a quietly abandoned Metaverse, then unveiled a Gunpla social site that will take your model photos and edit them through AI.
Vue now has a page up for Ghost in the Shell. Sadly, no Bedford. I guess Akira didn't do well here?
