Was finally able to find a reputable region free Blu-ray player for a fair price. Is also 4K and region free for DVDs too.
Still planning to support UK Gundam releases/AL releases in general but the situation with NT has just underlined my annoyance of not being sure what will survive to a UK...
The 2 movies thus far have been pretty good. Not perfect but they address major criticisms of the show. For one, Bellri fighting against his own people and killing them is actually an acknowledged character arc now.
I commented on this when I reviewed AL's import partner release of NT. Unicorn is essentially a soft reboot, designed to get a youth audience into UC. NT, however, hinges on you having watched not only that but all Tomino UC up to that point in the timeline. Fukui even mentioned he essentially...
I know it's not always the same situation and their staff have a heavy workload (I read the recent job posting), but it is very annoying that some titles get special treatment and others are essentially just put out there and customer complaints aren't entertained.
It feels like a massive bias...
It feels to me like an oddly rushed release, especially given one of the only extras is a Hathaway trailer. As if Sunrise were on their backs demanding the latest UC animated work be released in both countries ASAP and so it was decided to just cut extras so they could get it done without having...
Just to be clear, I have no issue with the discs being authored for dual countries. My issue is that we're missing extras. A lot of interesting or fun stuff US got we don't. Instead we get trailers for the movie itself and the trailer for Hathaway. It's like it's saying "Here, watch this then...

I know I'm as popular as a cup of cold sick when I complain like this but I'm sick of the lottery nature of these releases. Especially when other titles get...
Going over the NT release and I'm kind of annoyed. When rightstuf announced they were doing this release, one of the announced extras was a subtitled short where Zoltan comedically summarised UC history.
Unless I'm doing something wrong, that isn't on here. We get an NT trailer collection and...
