Still really funny to me that AL not only got King's Game, Gibiate and Ex-Arm from CR but thought they were worthy enough of the CE treatment. I know they often use the excuse of having access to the materials but to that I say just because you can it doesn't mean you should.

Exactly, but To be fair to AL, shipping any of those titles inside a black bin bag would of still been considered CE treatment. As none of them deserved a physical release at all.

For me I think King's Game had a missed opportunity in exploring more of the history of the franchise (cell phone novel, the various manga adaptations etc) for the booklet. It also didn't help that the studio never bothered to uncensor the series for home video.

No one's saying these shows don't have their fans. Just questioning why they of all things get the CE treatment when AL's efforts could be better spent on other things.

Agreed, there are a lot of shows that don't even have a release and might not even get one. Yet these did.

I think that is the case. I remember a while back in this forum a discussion on this and sometimes a deal is not for one series but a group. Perhaps a company knows a show is bad but want to get some more sales so makes it part of the deal. Release A and we'll let you have B.

I have Gibiate in my to-watch pile. Don’t think I have King's Game, while Ex-Arm wasn’t cheap, so… I’ll evaluate.
I did look up Ex-Arm on AL’s site, and the synopsis is just random confusion. Admittedly a lot of anime synopsis’ seem to fail at actually describing suitably or correctly, but that one seems to be in the “special” category.

Perfect synopsis for this title then as random confusion is what you'll be feeling watching it in between sudden bouts of laughter at how someone was willing to pay money to make that crap.
