'Tis all the more unfortunate when it a gift/store exclusive, I'm assuming?
Customer service officially dead until next year, unless Hanners goes pro-bono.

Had same situ last year with a dented xmas pre-order... or was it the year before? (all blurs into one with AL tbh...) Wasn't able to arrange a return 'till Jan, and had to wait for them to process it for the replacement iirc.

Got delivery people literally tossing parcels over my gate, taking a photo, and driving off 'ere. Not the best time of year for package care.

Yeah, last thing i want to be is a bother, specially at this time in the season, but it is reassuring to hear its possible to arrange a return

It is for my brother so what I'll do is ask him what he'd want to do, its a shame this has happened after everything

If Amazon had stocked it, given the urgency/gift, you could've tried what I like to call the ol' Amazon switcharoo: order another copy, say damaged, return AL copy to Amazon. Would either go back to AL, or else Amazon take a tiny hit on their zillions. You're outta luck all ends up given only on the ATA store.

All you can do is email AL, attaching photo. Once their cs back - and if their staff survive returning to a backlog of 1000s of orders/emails 🫨 - they will tell you they'll cover postage when inspected, if same as was with me.

Hopefully your brother likes dented boxes, though. 'Tis the thought that counts~
Now, I shalt let you all go back to the joys of Godzilla. Only ever saw the Jean Reno Hollywood one, myself. 'Twas naff.

It came out in November, I actually asked a question regarding it here as I watched it which you answered.

You are right in saying under the modern guidelines it would probably be a 15s though.

Question for anyone in-the-kno about takeovers/profits, as this end of year chaos has had my noggin' joggin': Could the decisions made regarding an obv lack of staff X all pre-orders crammed in before year's end - during a hectic sale - be linked to the Toho acquisition?
TLTR: 'Tis a curiousity of mine if Embracer/Plaion could have benefited from this mess.

During the disasters of the past, like the Eva ⬛ saga, there was an effort to rectify; going as far as employing a third-party professional distributor iirc. T'would appear here - more or less - the higher-ups knew what cummin, and threw their staff under the bus given the vast majority of sale orders had zero hope of being fulfilled. Only getting to day 2/12 before going on holiday is... something.

Scheduling a hefty box set/Eizoken pre-order days before staff sod off, during the time of year when parcels get battered, adds up not at all well, either. Nor Andrew going to ground sometime after the Embracer acquisition, after being reduced to an employee/more a non-cuddly 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 mascot. Bodes Ill, with the benefit of hindsight.
Poor Hanners got thrown to the wolves, and any good circus needs its ringmaster. I would have him return~
