UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

It's been like that for a while.

Yep - for about the last two years or so. That's one of the main reasons I stopped pre-ordering any anime from AL. Since I have to put 4 or more titles into a single order to help offset shipping prices internationally to the US, and because of all the wild delays AL was having the past few years on their CE releases, I've decided to only order in-stock titles going forward. Add to that all the unfavorable changes made to their free shipping during sales, and I've actually not ordered anything from AL in almost a year and a half now. It's a real shame, because I used to order 15-20 Collector's Editions every year from them, but that's done and over now.

I on the other hand greatly prefer this change in policy. I am not that impatient, and receiving my stuff in immaculate condition is more important than anything else. I can order in-stock items together with preorders to pay less shipping, and know they'll all be shipped together with Lime Wood Media's bomb-proof packaging of everything being wrapped in bubble wrap in a strong box, instead of having a bunch of single items shipped in card mailers.

Double edged sword for me. It means I get less €5 customs admin charges from An Post due to multiple packages but it unfortunately makes it more likely to ship by UPS and get hit by their €22 admin fee.

Bleach is tempting for the art box, but as I'm just keeping my US set and re-housing it into the art box I don't know with it costing £48 after discount & postage.
And looks like no double discount as it a new box set (as in bought the 1st one and got 10% off set 2-5)

EDIT: has bleach part 5 even released yets, it has a pre-order tag still, but release date was 12/5/2025

A lot of folks got their Bleach Part 5 already. Mine is stuck with I'm Standing on a Million Lives which was pushed back to... early August.
