I seem to ragging on all the shows you like recently, sorry about that haha. I'll probably give it one more ep, since I've already irrationally invested in watching 5 eps of a show I've not been particularly enjoying. I think my main problem with the show is that it's neither well thought out and sensible, nor fun and balls out. It's lacking intelligence and personality, it's kind of like how Inaho would be if he wasn't a savant. It's funny, as not long ago I watched an ep of Patlabor where it mocks the mech genre with the commander saying to his charge "You aren't some autistic kid protagonist from a mech show!" and then I went straight on to see this show and couldn't help laughing at that line.

I kinda went in on that show more than I was intending to...sorry.

Kiseijuu (Parasyte) pv. I literally just finished the final volume of the manga and found out the pv came out today. No question its at my number one spot for next season.

If you don't like the way it's played out so far, though, I can't imagine it's going to change so much going forwards (watch me now be drastically wrong).

Perhaps I'm odd, but I like having an introverted, tactically-minded lead instead of a spunky shounen manga hero. I enjoy the way each episode builds up to an exciting climax, but if you're finding that aspect lame then there can't be much to enjoy ^^;

Not much new I can add after this rewatch on BD. Still a masterpiece. Tatsuyuki Nagai is one of my favourite anime directors. There's just a real emotional honesty and sincerity in his works that resonates with me.

Glad you mentioned this, I've been intrigued to see what the anime for Parasyte would look like, but I hadn't realised there was a preview out.

Nah I get it, and for what it's worth I don't like most spunky shonen heroes either. But yeah, I can find very detached characters like Inaho a bit dull in long run. He may well yet win me over though, I suppose.
