Aria the Scarlet Ammo (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 1, 2, 3 & 4

Did you seriously reference Lupin the Third?! (Riko Mine Lupin IV)

Why. WHY DID RIKO BECOME THE VILLAIN?! I was liking her character, well this is depressing.

I did it, finally finished Samurai Champloo. The last 3 episodes felt rushed :( enjoyed them but yeah, rushed so I feel a bit disappointed.

High School DxD v Ikki Tousen for my next watch!

Gurren Lagann - Episodes 7 - 15 (Sub)

Can someone help me to describe what you see here?
I want to say it's compression artifacting but I'm not 100% sure.

As no one else has given you some feed back I thought I would, see if it helps.

Looking and looking and I'm not too sure either. I'm looking at it and I'm not 100% sure if it is compression artifacts but rather the way it's animated or coloured.

Normally when I see compression artifacts it shows up more along the edges, in the shadows and darker areas like Simons hair, where fast motion is, a lot happening on screen at once or when you get grain, dust etc.. It also looks too uniform and clean across the whole image. I could be completely wrong and it could well be compression artifacts, it's I don't recall seeing compression artifacts that uniform before.

Problem is there's nothing to reference it too(excluding the dvd's). Some artifacts are plan easy to see and you can say with 100% certainty that it's compression artifacts. It's like with Funimations release being brighter. You know it is but it's not until you see it side by side with the Japanese release that you see it so clear.

I do see what you mean about not being 100% sure.

Sinthetic has the Japanese release, maybe if they have a Blu-ray drive in their pc they might be able to provide a screen shot to reference it with.

On topic.

Over the last 4-6 weeks I have seen..

Patema Inverted. Was a lot better than I thought. After seeing it I backed the kickstater. Ultimate edition tier.

Blood Lad. Was actually better than I thought. Needs a second series though, ends mid story

Psychic School Wars. This was just rubbish and very boring. The title is misleading, should be called Psychic Love Triangle.

Jormungand. Enjoyed this one, reminded me a little of Black Lagoon.

Let's see how I'm getting on with my catch up of Fall 2012:

My Little Monster - 13/13
Shin Sekai Yori 4/25
Jormungand 2 6/12
Chu2 8/12
Zetsuen no Tempest 12/24
Girls und Panzer 3/12
PSYCHO-PASS 11/22
ROBOTICS;NOTES 11/22

Of note, My Little Monster jumped ahead of everything probably because it was the biggest surprise (I almost didn't include it, given so many other shows), and GirlPan is lagging behind because it really is the weakest. Shin Sekai Yori suffers from "so good, I only want to watch it at certain times" syndrome, but is probably the strongest show on the list. Chu2 is the only one of the shows I'm fully rewatching, but it is just as funny second time around.

The Ideon - A Contact

I'm resuming my rewatch of classic mecha that I started with Dragonar some time ago. A good opening story that, like the Gundam movies, successfully cuts the filler and unnecessary characters to deliver a punchier plot. As good as I remembered it and also the film has that trippy feel that a lot of 80's seemed to have.

Legendary Ninja Cats - Episode 28
