Gurren Lagann - Episodes 22 - 24 (Sub)

Only three episodes and the extras left. I honestly forgot how truly epic and amazing this arc is. The series really does just build up and up and up as it goes.
Compared to other series I've also noticed just how much content there seems to be in each episode of TTGL. It feels like so much happens in the 21 minutes given per episode.
I do find myself dreading watching Kittan's death scene again though ;_;

Thankfully disc 3 has been less of a pain to watch so I could really enjoy the final part of this series once again.
Anyone who hasn't seen Gurren Lagann by now, do yourself a favor and buy it when it comes out. You seriously won't regret it, not one bit.

I did mean to type up a more thorough post in the "out of 10" thread, actually. I'm not sure it will be entirely to your liking though. :p

Spoilers for my review: I only "like" one character

Girls und Panzer e.4 - And on that day, the teacup fell. I think the practice of drinking tea out of fine china might be even more dubious than the length of skirt in which these girls want to operate their tanks, but in all seriousness the tank battle was quite exciting.

edit: e.5 - Jesus. I'll be fair, there is a great balance between both Girls and Panzer in the show, and it's all the better for it.

Well to be fair, there is only one real star of the show. Though I did really liked both protagonists. The other characters were just "there".

The Ideon - A Contact

I'm resuming my rewatch of classic mecha that I started with Dragonar some time ago. A good opening story that, like the Gundam movies, successfully cuts the filler and unnecessary characters to deliver a punchier plot. As good as I remembered it and also the film has that trippy feel that a lot of 80's seemed to have.

Ideon's been on my radar for quite a while now, but I didn't realise there was a compilation film - I always thought it was just the series, then Be Invoked as a follow-up. Do the two films actually cover the entire story?

JJBA: Stardust Crusaders ep12

Well, The Empress was every bit as gross as last week's preview led me to believe. Although I don't necessarily agree with them, I am beginning to see where accusations of misogyny against Part 3 might spring from.

I'm also curious now as to what exactly the relationship between The Empress and Hol Horse was...

Episode 1 of monster..................

Just one episode and I'm hooked.

Corruption
Loss
Regret

Damn I made a good choice getting this and its only the first episode

Yeah... you're not going to agree with me then... ^^;

I'm interested to hear which of the two you think is the star of the show (I assume Haru, but you can be odd at times :p)

An awesome day's anime viewing!

The Ideon - Be Invoked

I always thought Be Invoked was a great film, but it watching it again now, actually I think it is one of the best mecha/sci-fi films I've ever seen; Epic in scale, brutal and with fantastic characters it all the hallmarks of a true classic.

Roujin Z (Blu-ray)

I've bought this 3 times now (VHS, DVD & BD) and each upgrade has been worth it, a brilliant piece of satire and BD shows off that sumptuous animation.

Knights of Sidonia - Episode 11

I'm loving KoS, like Ideon it has great drama and a real sense of desperation amongst the protagonists.

Legendary Ninja Cats - Episode 29

Consistently good fun and immensely entertaining.

Yes, A Contact covers up to episode 31 and then Be Invoked covers episode 32 and then the 4 cancelled episodes that were the true ending. The TV series is very good, but the ending is obviously rushed and some episodes are full of cannon fodder kills, A Contact redresses that and makes it a much more focused lead in to Be Invoked.

Mitsudomoe episodes 1-5 (Rewatch)

I never finished the the 1st series as it was airing, so I thought I will rewatch the episodes I have seen, before going to the ones I haven't. I forgot how much I loved the series ^_^

Blade & Soul 6-9

If I wasn't getting paid by a site to review this, I would have dropped it with episode 1. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
