I see the manga is just coming out in English now, vash, are you reading it? Looks like the show finished well before the comic did.

What do you make of Psycho-Pass, as a matter of curiosity?
Only watched the first two episodes, the scenario is full of "obvious potential" with that mix of Blade Runner/GitS/Minority Report feelings, but it's kind of at odds with the main character (she's not exactly the Major, at least not so far). I hope Gen has some Big Things to say about internal Government structures and individual free will through the "we hire criminals" and "are people really criminals just because they might be criminals" aspects, but I'm mainly hoping for an exciting A-plot with that as a bit of a bonus if it does come through.

Ah, probably best I don't say anything that might colour your opinion at this stage...

Appleseed: E.X. Machina (English Dub) - Film

Note the Sentai Filmworks dub cast (more specifically every main character) from the first Appleseed film are the same cast who were involved in E.X. Machina and even Appleseed XIII (except Hitomi's VA).

CGI is much better in this one, this is probably as far as they can go with this series in terms of animation. I should get XIII and judge that one myself (from what I hear it's bad) and the upcoming Alpha (in the trailer the vehicle flips over unrealistically, oh boy). Everything else is pretty much as good or in fact better than the first film, for a CGI anime E.X. Machina is probably one of the best (out of the whole CGI anime list). Though I can't help but notice the main villain's head reminds me of the scientist from Metal Gear Rising.

Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! (Japanese Dub) - Episodes 3, 4 & 5

Whoa, the movie that's not even licenced yet? Don't get hung up on the idea that you have to watch things in one go, enjoy Steins Gate now and come back and enjoy the movie in a year or two.

I'm finding that watching a 10-12 episode series in a space of 1-2 days has less impact than when I used to be forced by the release schedule to watch 4 episodes every 2 months. As you have a decent sized back log available perhaps try watching a handful of episodes from 2-3 series rather than a big block of one show. It'll give you time to think about what might happen next rather than just seeing it all and forgetting it when the next marathon starts.

That's what rewatching is for, there's loads of ANIME out there and so little time to watch them all,

And besides code gaess is my last in my back log,.............I know amazing that it shrunk, I do have others but I don't have the full series of them yet,

My problem is that I hate to wait...........It's like after I finished squid girl I wanted to watch the second season so bad and I still do and this is why I wait til I get a full Series if you get the full thing of something and you enjoyed the first season then you'll be happy to have the second season on hand.

But there are a few exceptions like code gaess there's movies that goes with it but I don't want to wait for them that long.

Good thing I order and brought loads of anime that's coming in soon......... I'd say about 25 series and so on.

After code gaess I'm looking forward to attack on titan but I really want to watch monster,

An enjoyable evening of watching good anime!

Prism Generations: Prism Magical

Entertaining one shot Masami Obari echii magical girl OVA.

Legendary Ninja Cats - Episodes 12 - 14

Episode 12 was another clip show but 13 & 14 were great episodes.

M3 the Dark Metal - Episode 7

Great drama in this episode, despite a very slow start IMO, M3 is really getting interesting.

PSYCHO-PASS e.5 - I don't think I was expecting a "regular" borderline-procedural detective show to be the kernel of this series for some reason, although it obviously makes sense. The interplay between the cast is fine, maybe even quite good. I wasn't sure this was specifically the strongest story to take over multiple episodes, but they seem to be setting up a larger antagonist and it also allowed Urobuchi to start sowing what we can likely now recognize as the seeds for his usual discourse on individuality and sacrifice for the good of society. In that context the reveal at the end of episode five can't be taken as a complete surprise, but it was more than adequately well dramatized and left me (as a pre-existing fan of the rest of his work, admittedly) hopeful for the rest of the show.

Episode 1 of code geass

Giant robots check
Girl with powers that meets regular school boy check
Girl gives powers to boy check
Supposed love interests check
In school check
And.................a light yagami alike .....check.

Well let's check the next episode.

It's the first episode so let's see what happens next

Not enough negativity 'round these parts.

Fate/Zero 1-4

I sit through three episodes of people I don't care about talking about things I don't care about - sometimes while walking in circles, at other times sitting or standing perfectly still - barely remaining conscious. Episode 4 brings the first proper battle and a welcome respite from the excruciatingly pedestrian direction... BUT EVERYONE TALKS ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT. I can tell this was adapted from a novel because take away the occasionally interesting visuals and it feels like someone's reading at me.

High School DxD 1-9

People talk about the story being the saving grace of this show. I have to wonder whether we're watching the same thing because DxD is the usual teen magical fantasy junk with mostly flat (er, in the personality sense) characters. The thing became much more tolerable - even enjoyable - when the first story arc was done and the characters then goofed off for four episodes. My spidey sense tells me we're in for a dramatic finale, though, which makes me apprehensive about carrying on. Maybe I'll just leave it here. Still, it's more entertaining than F/Z, and dat ending animation.

Well I assume most target their Anime to thing's they likely like so tend to end up reasonably happy. Good to see some feedback on titles be it good or bad IMO.

As for Fate/Zero, it's downfall is probably the fact it ties into Fate/Stay Night, I really enjoyed it because of all the references but if your coming to it cold I can definitely see that it'd not work as well. It's also got a somewhat unfortunate setup in that you know nothing major can happen till much later in the plot because you've only got seven servants to play with and killing any too early means the finale is going to be rather bland.

If your re-watching something you already know what will happen, you don't have the opportunity to sit back and wonder where a show will go after a cliff-hanger. If your racing through one series to get to the next are you actually enjoying what you are watching? That's not a question, just something to ponder upon.
