Michiko & Hatchin (English Dub via Funimation BD) - Episodes 3, 4, 5

PowerDVD screwed up again but I was able to access the Blu-ray disc by selecting Top Menu.

Anywho, this is probably the first anime to be set entirely in Brazil (I know Hellsing did an episode on Rio at one point).

Space Dandy: Episode 1 (English Dubbed)

Really enjoyed this episode, the dub was a lot better than I though. I was worried that with this being a simulcast it might not be the best, but I was really surprised.

Unlike others, I actually enjoyed the humor at the beginning lol

Space Dandy 1 (Dub)
Unlike a lot of you guys here, I actually preferred the first half a lot more. The second half was way too cluttered. It's funny though, out of the two Sunrise Bounty Hunter space anime from the 90s, it reminds me more of Outlaw Star than of Cowboy Bebop. I'd describe the first episode as Outlaw Star with the over-the-topness of Kill la Kill.

I'll need to wait for another episode before I make a final verdict on the series, but the first episode certainly was fun.

EDIT: Okay, saw this on Tumblr. Best description of the show so far:
"I'm so glad we're getting an entire anime about Zapp Brannigan"

Love Song of a Certain Pilot (Toaru Hikuushi e no Koiuta) ep 1.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Second Season ep 2-5.

The Princess and the Pilot (Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku).

Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 2 - Ghost Whispers

One of the extras on the BD is a Microsoft Surface x Ghost in the Shell minisode which lasts three minutes.
It was hilariously stupid to say the least.

Noragami - Episode 1

Most people are hyped for Space Dandy, and sure I am too, but after watching the first episode of this I could see it quietly being quite a nice BONES series. It reminded me a lot of Soul Eater, I think the characters just gave off that sense and the whole using people/spirits/whatevertheyare as weapons was quite alike Soul Eater. Looking forward to watching more of it. ^^

Mobile Suit Gundam Second Season ep 6-9.

Wolf Children (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki). Watched as part of the MangaUK simulwatch on twitter. It's every bit as good as I'd heard.

Yowamushi Pedal ep 1-3. I really felt in the mood for a sports anime, and so far I've not been disappointed.

 Brilliant!

Bakuman Ep.8-13

Takagi and his reactions are just so awesome at times. I absolutely hate the seiyu for Niizuma. When Niizuma makes all the sound effects himself in the manga I thought of him being quite silly and childlike in doing so...in this the VA just makes it sound like he's screeching all the time and I find it really annoying. Truth be told I'm not entirely pleased with the voices of all the cast. Maybe it's just because that when reading through the manga I had my own idea of how they sounded :(

Pupa 1

Was always going to check this out with all the hype over its content, plus it was only 5 minutes long. Interesting watercolour art style, it gave everything a sort of feverish quality. Shame Crunchyroll got lumbered with a heavily censored version, it did rob the episode of some impact. Hard to tell how this one's going to go, but I'll keep watching.

Golden Time 13

HEY! HEY! HEY! (No, Fat Albert doesn't make a guest appearance here)

The new OP was very...dissonant to say the least! Reflects my mood regarding Banri and Koko's relationship anyway. Some great laugh-out-loud moments for me this episode, like the lipstick up the nose and the Nana paaaauuuuunch.

So yeah, Ghost Banri's "curse" changes things a bit. Perhaps he's subconsciously sabotaging his relationship with Koko, since he knows it's an unhealthy one deep down. Either that or we're venturing into supernatural territory here, and Ghost Banri really is a dick who's cursing him. Who knows?

Space Dandy episode 1 (dubbed)

Not bad I suppose, seemed a bit choppy story wise & the first part of the episode was pretty meh, though it did pick up towards the end.

Dub was good and definitely suited the show, also really liked the animation & design on it.

Space Dandy.

I checked out bits of the dub to see what the voices were like and I felt that the English VAs don't really convey the characters' personalities well enough. And honestly, Suwabe voices the main character so the English dub doesn't even compare anyway. Also, that auto-tune effect they added to the robot character in the dub is annoying as ****. As for the show itself, I can't say I was impressed by it but I quite enjoyed the part at the end so I'll stick with it for now to see where it's going.
