I don't think they actually have a total airing set. The manga itself is still ongoing, so i can only imagine they will keep going so long as the series has content to cover. Last i checked, they where still about 60+ chapters behind at least, so there is a lot for them to cover, and the pacing isn't exactly swift, so it'll be a while.

Thanks for the explanation.
I just hope they will follow the manga and not invent a new final if the anime will ever catch it before it ends.
Reading your various comments it seems that this show is right up my alley, I love that kind of sci-fi. Too bad this series will be released on BD 2 years from now or later, plus they will be 94578 episodes for a total of 784578 euro.

Magic Knight Rayearth - Episode 29

Ghost in the Shell Arise - Border 1

I enjoyed this first episode, it felt familiar and part of the whole GitS world, the only disappointment was the very average animation especially for an OVA like this.

Free! Ep.1

It was nice to see a show that has a mainly male cast (without solely being a reverse harem show). Felt like quite a bit got done in the first ep, it's one of those shows I thought would've really played out and plodded along, but I thought it was paced quite well.

Talking of pacing...

Rozen Maiden (2013) Ep.1

One of the worst first episodes I've ever seen. If I hadn't seen the original series I would just be like 'What the hell?!' Literally, 2 seasons worth of stuff in one episode. I don't see the point in this semi-reboot, just make it a direct sequel and get into this alternate universe storyline. I will watch the next couple of episodes to see how it plays out, but it seriously better improve.

Symphogear season 2: I didn't want to watch this at first because the first season was so bad but I gave it a go anyway for the cool music and Mizuki Nana. I guess it'll be my dosage of comedy gold this season.

Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu episode 1: I liked how they took a strategic approach to recruiting new club members. Too bad they didn't actually go through with it. It would have been entertaining to see them shoot other students. And I liked the airsoft fight at the end.

Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku episode 1: Best ahoge of the season.

Also watched the first episode of Servant x Service which was ok.

C'mon man, it's time to be stronger than this! That first season really was turrible.

Love Lab Ep.1

This was actually a bit better than I expected from the premise.

Danganronpa Ep.1

Only in Japan could you have such a brilliant idea of a school where the kids have to kill each other and it's being run by a stuffed monochrome bear.

Magic Knight Rayearth - Episodes 30 & 31

Immature I know but the conversation about breast size in episode 31 was rather amusing.

B-but Mizuki Nana!

Love Lab: I liked the interactions between the two main girls. Whether or not I stick with it just depends on how **** the other characters are.

Kiniro Mosaic: This show is pretty cute. Most of the first episode takes place in England so there's a lot of engrish but the rest of it is back in Japan after a timeskip so I suspect there won't be much of it later on in the series.

Nekomonogatari S2 Ep.1

Hooray! It's back.

Genshiken 2nd Gen Ep.1

Loved the Monogatari references, unsure about the lack of a real male presence this time though. Seems like they're just wanting more cute girls and super cute traps to pander to male audience. Although, I'm personally not compalining about the trap, quite the opposite in fact :D

Durarara 1-12

Well...it all got a bit much in the last couple eps. This is a show that thrives off totally implausible quirkiness, but there were just so many things in ep 11 and 12 that either had me almost bursting out laughing because it was just so silly, or screwing up my face in genuine confusion because I had not a bloody clue what was going on any more. I loved the first 10 eps, but after that everything just started rapidly spiralling out of control. I can't believe I'm only half way through, I feel pretty burnt out on Durarara now. Is it worth continuing with?

Danganronpa 1

I tried this out because a friend of mine is obsessing over it and tbh. Not sure how I feel about it to be honest. Seems awfully generic, aside from the gimmick of Monobear.

Had a very similar experience with DRRR myself. I really liked the first half, but between an underwhelming start to the new arc and the general negative feedback on the latter part of the show, I just gave up on it.

I like the over the top high school archetypes that the characters are identified as. It's better being in your face about it and hanging a lampshade on it rather than have them all start out as regular sort of kids and then they just end up falling into these archetypes. Something about it made me think of NisiOisiN's work (specifically Medaka Box).

It's not really that (even if there are in my opinion, way too many characters). It's more the whole, locked-in, murder scenario.
