Persona 4 ep 4. Chie's new English VA probably had her shakiest episode so far - the amount of times 'Yukiko' was said with hardly any emotion at all was jarring. On the whole I'm enjoying the adaptation, though the battle sequences feel a bit contrived, I guess they were always going to be underwhelming compared to the experience the games gives.

Combat Mecha Xabungle - Episode 36

A good episode that began to open up more of the back story.

Robotic;Notes - Episode 9

Getting more interesting, I saw that the second season starts soon.

On Sunrise's website they have a new year card that highlights that Votoms, Vifam, Dunbine and Crusher Joe will all be 30 years old this year, and they've all stood the test of time IMHO!!

Catching up on my anime viewing after the festive break with:

Girls und Panzer 10.5 (recap)
GuP OVA1 (fanservice city as the girls go swimsuit shopping!)

No more GuP until March... :(

Kokoro Connect Eps 14, 15, 16 (T_T) and 17

Shakugan no Shana 13-15

In episode 15, the dub has Pheles erroneously refer to herself as a Flame Haze, when she is in fact a Crimson Denizen (which was even stated as such earlier in the dub). I switched to the original Japanese and she never made a reference to the Flame Haze's duty there. Not sure why that was added in.

Season 2 I assume? thats an annoying and silly mistake, guess I'll see for myself when I watch that half tommorow

Yeah, season 2.

Just watched 13-22. Things picked up in pace nicely compared to the slower first half, finally getting some progress on certain plot points.

I watched 15 expecting that error only for it to hit at the start of 16. Kinda annoying tbh, all the translating and writing credits are the same and you'd hope the director or voice actor would pick up on an error like that. Especially as they flash back to that twice in the same episode without making the error.

Might have been 16...I do just watch discs from beginning to end (if you interrupt me watching a disc, I will finish it no matter what - so I ended up finishing that disc at 5am xD).

But yeah, the mistake did really frustrate me, especially as FUNimation are really good with their research (fixing Wilhemina's pronunciation for example). Also, I think the actor might not have picked up on it because to be honest...a lot of the actors don't sound like they really care about their performance. I think the majority of them saw Shana II as a paycheck.

It was a bit part character so your probably right, I could well imagine them sitting there and saying this scene is shown 3 times, how can we mix up the dialogue a little and going off course with an ad-lib. The fact that others refer to her as a Denezin means little as from commetaries I've watched it's clear lines are recorded seperately and sometimes weeks/months apart.

Fairy Tail 163
This episode sure had a lot of filler injected into it (fanservice filler too), but the anime writers sure do understand the fans. For example: The scene where the girls have to pair up with a guy to dress like a couple at a wedding and Lisanna approaches Natsu and starts talking to him...only for Lucy to crash down on him.
Bloody Lucy...leave Natsu for Lisanna!

Also, I loved Mavis from the manga...but:

Now I adore her.
