You say better...good to better or bad to better? =P I've been interested in LOI but I've not picked it up yet.
 
Iron Chan Episode 3

While the music continues to improve, the series continues to stagnate and we're treated to another Bad thing > Investigation > Iron Man fight episode. THe moral of this weeks apparently being don't judge a book by its cover (no really, the entire episode is full of this principle) there's also a "Look I'm a hero without the suit" moment for Stark, but frankly this is a lesser episode than last week's and the villain of the piece was massively cliche. I also find it incredibly hard to believe that super-genius Tony Stark didn't see fit to outfit the Iron Man with an EMP defence. I mean it's the most obvious line of attack an enemy might have against a suit of powered armour

Bakuman Episode 2

Continues to be very good. No specific comments but Shujin is easily my favourite character on the show. I have to say though I thnk the OP is massively weaker than the ED.

Just watched the first three episodes of Eden of the east, all I have to say is I'm hooked! No anime has grabbed my attention like this has in a long,long time.

The whole thing just screams quality, from the artistry to the script. I always knew Kamiyama was insanely tanented ever since watching 2nd GIG(never saw the first)and while It is up there as one of my favs(and I'm not a huge GITS fan) , I still felt he was confined by the restrictions of that franchise, but now with Eden it looks like he's really able to shine.

Can't wait to watch more!
 
Having watched the third episode of Bakuman, I really wish they'd hurry up and make some manga already. Every review I've read has been favourable and I really like the idea of having a series about making manga, but so far it just hasn't grabbed me as much as I'd hoped.
 
I think Bakuman is in a place where, a bit like Star Driver, it is so clearly "well made" that people will likely hold back too many scathing comments until it either does or doesn't fulfill their long-term expectations.
 
Milky Holmes 2, better transfer helps a lot.
hand drawn backgrounds, crayon drawings, and film grain.
Very stylised like mid-late 90's shoujo, think Kare Kano anime, but with modern CG characters.
Think this might be some truly mad basterdchild JC Staff have made. The blond one (Cordelia), apears to have gone from ojousama to full on yandere over the course of the ep, the scene where she's let out from her cell is wonderful.

Also it's stuffed to breaking point with cute and moe.
 
Couldn't agree more, read way too many complaints about the visual quality after one ep, and thought "hmm, I'm fairly sure it's *supposed* to be like this". It's like very high-quality low-quality stuff.
 
I am only as far as the first episode of Milky Holmes, though I can instantly acknowledge the appeal. More series like this might force those with high demands to adapt somewhat.

I personally approve of the "beautiful face" character. One was especially surprised by the physical manifestation of his excitement.

As I detect that we may be on the same page, I feel slightly less embarrased about admitting that I think Star Driver looks crap. While I haven't watched any of it beyond the preview, I don't like the art or the mech designs and the story sounds like one of those 'aren't we clever, it's so self-referential' jobs where they forget they're not serious after about two episodes.

I expected better Bones, I really did.
 
I still, admittedly, have one foot in the "it looks so shiny and batshit insane that I'll give it a long leash" camp, but the character designs, total lack of focus/"randomness", and potential "forgot not to take itself too seriously" story do indeed have me less than entirely enthused after three episodes, after being high on the idea after one, and still riding the wave of nutiness after two.
 
Started Ghost in the Shell 2

Pretty solid so far, though seems a lot more like a standard detective story when compared with one. The cgi and 2d didn't clash as jarringly as I thought, noticable yes, but not something that ruins the movie. The animation of both is sublime, stands up really well for a 2004 title, could've been made yesterday. It seems to be progressing at a slower pace than 1 though and the animators seem obsessed with scenery porn. Yes, the environments are gorgeous, we get it, now stop showing us this random Oriental parade for a good 10 minutes without any plot progression!.

I'll finish it tomorrow when less tired.

Good to better, I've enjoyed LOI so far, but since episode 13 the plot has become more focused and drama orientated which has sort of spurred the series on. It will be interesting to see how this continues.

I have been looking forward to watching Star Driver and I am going to start watching it today, I'll let you know what I think later!

As for something more on-topic, I will probably just make a big update post with everything I'm watching since I watched a fair few eps the last day or so. I'll just say that the last scene in OreImo ep 3 was borderline perfect.
 
Sorry ilmaestro, I missed your query the first 2 times.

Essentially it is the same as with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. There is a broadcast order which is nonlinear and a chronological order which is linear.

The first episode I watched was episode 1 (broadcast order) which was called Magic Users for Rental. In the chronological order this is episode 6.

Episode 1 in the chronological order is called A Witch's Vow which is episode 2 in the broadcast order.

I'm more interested in watching the show now, I have to say.

Do you know if it is "supposed" (not the best way of putting it, but I guess whether the novels are in the same order, or the Japanese DVD release, for instance) to be watched in broadcast order, or was it just something they did to liven up the TV broadcast, as with Haruhi?
