Violet Evergarden ep 3
Still slow and Violets character progression is non-existent. The side character in this episode had a better story and more growth than Violet has had in 3!

Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles
ep 4
No improvement in Ms. Koizumis attitude, but "No Ramen, No Life" :)

Yuru Camp△ ep 4
Another lovely episode with some hilarious moments.

Another Manga Force Collection title:
Space Adventure Cobra
The story was a bit different to what I thought it would be. The plot device was a bit weird, he had to make a woman fall in love with him to save the galaxy! Some of the action was good though.

Yu-Gi-Oh-Episodes 17-21

As enjoyable a time as I am having with this, even as a casual fan of TCG, the rule bending and total made up effects of some cards is rage-inducing. The majority of it is accurate, but then they pull stuff like having Call of the Haunted having about 3 or 4 different effects, which is just nuts.

Yuru Camp-Episode 4

Nadeshiko running around getting all the insulating material was adorable.

Violet Evergarden-Episode 3

Still loving this, was so happy and almost proud feeling at finally seeing Violet grasp emotions a bit more with that letter.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid OVA

Sooooo happy we finally have this streaming, wasn't a particularly amazing episode but I have seriously missed this show. It was just nice to check in with the characters again.

How to keep a Mummy episode 3 More quirky cuteness

Miss Koizumi loves Ramen Noodles episode 4 More Ramen

Violet Evergarden
episode 3 More...(actually this episode was pretty good)

Yuru Camp
episode 4 More chilled camping, the humour and characters give me K-On vibes, which is always a good thing

Sword of the Stranger (film)
This is a great film, with superb animation, set pieces and likeable duo of characters. Glad AL gave this a nice CE since the artwork suits it well. 4/5

Hunter x Hunter - Episodes 68 - 73 - Holy crap, Bisky transforming into a massive muscular lady made me laugh so much I may have woken up next door lol bloody amazing, clearly the best character so I hope she sticks around but assume we won't see her again after this arc.

'GIRLS UND PANZER MARATHON'

Girls und Panzer eps 10–12 (complete)
Haaa, those tactics against the Maus... I didn't see that coming!

+ recap episodes 5.5 and 10.5.

Next up: OVA series.

Z Mind - Episodes 1 - 3

Pretty standard mecha fair from Sunrise, looks nice (despite it's odd character designs) and I'm quite enjoying it so far.

Wait... what?!? How did the BBFC let that past them? That’s just nasty!
I guess the BBFC are only concerned if it's people being depicted doing something like that. If it's tanks it's okay!

In fact, I'm glad it was the tanks, given how the girls themselves look... you know, underage. (Even though they're meant to be 16 or something.)

Didn't anime expert Jonathan Clements once say about Shangri-La, "Never have 18-year-olds looked so... 12"?

Never underestimate the power of tank porn!

I take it the Manga Force release doesn't have the dub with the replacement Yello soundtrack?
Butting in here.

To the best of my knowledge, the Manga Force DVDs are just the Manga Entertainment versions with different labels printed on them, so the actual on-disc content should be identical.

(Although, bizarrely, the Manga Force version of Evangelion: Death & Rebirth has a slightly different menu screen from the two-disc retail release. o_O)

@IncendiaryLemon: Eh?! The aspect ratio of EoE is wrong?

Why have I never noticed that? (Probably because I've no basis for comparison, I guess.)

So... is it stretched? Squashed?

EoE is a 16:9 ratio film, yet when Manga came to make the disc, they ended up putting it on in 4:3, meaning you have a black bars on both the side and on the top, meaning 2/3 of your screen is black. You can probably get it looking a little better using your TV's aspect ratio or zoom settings but by default it looks like crap.

@IncendiaryLemon: Ahh, yes. The infamous pillarboxed letterboxed picture.

Sorry, I thought you meant Manga had used the wrong thickness of borders for the 4:3 image, making it the wrong aspect ratio or something.

But yeah, EoE was also available on VHS, I believe, which obviously is very much part of the 4:3 era. I guess they must've used the same source image for the DVD? (It's plenty blurry enough.) Plus, they just culled a faulty fansub from the Web to use as subs for the film, so they might as well!
