Nyaruko: Crawling With Love [Season 2] (Japanese audio) - Episodes 10-12 (Complete)

So it appears Disc 2 is actually faulty and would not play on any device, so I had to watch the last few episodes on Crunchyroll.

And that's every title that I planned to watch this month completed:
  • #01 | Absolute Duo
  • #02 | Blood Blockade Battlefront
  • #03 | Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor
  • #04 | Seraph of the End -Vampire Reign-: Battle in Nagoya
  • #05 | Full Metal Panic? FUMOFFU
  • #06 | Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend .flat
  • #07 | Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Season 1
  • #08 | Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Heart Throb
  • #09 | No-Rin
  • #10 | Nyaruko: Crawling With Love [Season 2]
The next plan is to tackle Stage 2 of my on-disc backlog. The simulcasts from this season are progressing well, with all except Food Wars! Season 3 up-to-date on the Crunchyroll side and Inuyashiki also up-to-date.

Stage 2 of the backlog are the remaining 1-cour shows (except one or two) that are left in my backlog:
  • The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan
  • Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid
  • Gonna Be the Twin-Tail!!
  • Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine

Digimon Tri The Movie 2: Determination

I'm reviewing this one, so I won't go into huge detail here, but I was pretty dissapointed in this off the back of the first. Far too much time spent doing nothing of importance.

Mushishi-Episodes 1 and 2

Hmm, I'm not sold on this quite yet. I get it's supposed to be deliberately slow but I don't think either of these stories were particularly interesting. Not bad, but I dunno, for all the praise it has as somewhat of a classic, I'm yet to see it myself.

You're Under Arrest TV 21-28

The Natsumi learning to drive and getting a car episodes are definitely some of my favourites. Best gag right here.

I still think Natsumi's R-2 is super cool, even in its original state. I kinda want one.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbwqWfwXZJw

Yuki Yuna is a Hero ep 7-9
After the beach episode it turns quite dark, which makes it a more intriguing series.

In This Corner of the World extras
Some interesting information from the director on some of the historical details and about the location scouting.

Stranger Things ep 7 & 8
Just awesome stuff, can't wait till tomorrow for season 2. Only one tiny grumble is the use of a Moby track for one scene, it fits the scene and I like the track, but it doesn't fit the rest of the soundtrack, either original or songs used. They should have gone the Donnie Darko route and picked an 80s song with lyrics that fit and reworked it.

Fate/Zero ep7-8

An exciting couple of episodes, but, given that we're past the half way mark now, it doesn't feel as if things have progressed all that far from the starting point.

The Ancient Magus' Bride - Episode 3 - So good. Really love this show.

Black Clover - Episode 1 - Holy crap that dude is annoying, not sure I'll bother with anymore of this tbh.

Mushishi-Episodes 3 and 4

Episode 4 was the first one of these I've actually been really into, really dour tonally and a grim ending, but I think that's kinda why I liked it. Hope it sets a precedent for these stories not all having a happily ever after.

Inuyashiki-Episode 3

This show is really inconsistent, tonally. Going from the brutal murder of an innocent family, including a child being drowned by his own father's corpse, to wacky flying grandpa antics. Not to say I don't like the series or anything, it's just a touch jarring.

Eureka Seven-Episodes 1 and 2

31 Days of Halloween Day 26: Tomb of Ligeia (1965, Roger Corman) Would Halloween be complete without Vincent Price and Roger Corman? :D (Though to be fair this is one of the weaker Edgar Allan Poe film adaptations the two collaborated on...)

Avatar: The Last Airbender Book One: Water (Rewatch)
episodes 9-20 [Skipped episodes 10, 11 and 15 since they're amongst the few shite episodes of the series]

31 Days of Halloween Day 27: Videodrome (1983, David Cronenberg) A masterpiece and one of Cronenberg's best films. It's the kind of film that leaves you in a trance from start to finish, every time I watch it I discover something new. Great performances from James Woods and Deborah Harry too.

Stranger Things season Two episodes 1-4

Avatar: The Last Airbender Book Two: Earth (Rewatch) episodes 1, 3, and 6 (skipped the episodes I feel are decidedly meh)

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Episode 1

I waited far too long to watch this. Seriously, it's been what, like six years or something since it was announced and I first got excited about it? I'm not sure I can properly articulate my feelings in words right now.
