Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note Episode 3.
Mystery solved! Sort of. As it turns out, what happened was something that I had suspected might be the case given the information in the previous episode but I decided it was unlikely because I couldn't think of a good way for it to not sound a bit silly. I suppose what happened is kind of possible but it still sounds silly and the details of how it happened don't really help that.
It's going to be interesting to see how this turns out, I have to wonder if the police will have solved the case before Team KZ get there. Given that
the armed robber was apparently driving with Wakatake's bike stuck on the front of their car for the entire journey home, it's hard to imagine that no one noticed them. Team KZ also have something of a disadvantage, with their investigations being delayed by the need to get home before it gets too late (due to them being kids and all). Since Wakatake decides it'd be better to solve the crime themselves rather than tell the police what they've discovered, the police don't have quite the same information to work with but they should still have a decent shot at solving the crime. I'm hoping the show can at least avoid the need to make the police look incompetent in order to have the team solve the crime.
At least the possibility of going to the police is often brought up, with Wakatake using his motivation/manipulation skill to overrule more sensible suggestions. While the case does involve a bit of coincidence to get the team investigating something bigger, it does also feel plausible that they'd get carried away with the idea of solving the case. It does sometimes feel like some thought has gone into the stories but at the same time there are elements that seem a bit silly. I've mentioned it before but it does keep making me wonder just how much of the show is self-aware.
I don't think I'm really watching the show for the mysteries so much as curiousity about what the writers will do next. I wouldn't say it's really a bad show either so that maybe helps to make it watchable.
Anime De Training! Ex Episode 2.
There's a different character taking us through the exercises in this episode, which I would have known about had I read the show description before watching it. The description says there'll be five girls and that they're trying to become Idols, though nothing in the show seems to relate to the Idol aspect. I suppose they might be trying to become fitness Idols (I'd probably be more surprised if that's not a thing at this point) or maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention. There's not a lot of time per episode and story doesn't seem to be a major concern anyway.
This episode's main character is the Tsundere type, although she's fairly mild and non-violent so even people that don't like Tsundere characters aren't too likely to have a problem with her. She mostly tries to put on a front of arrogance that's fairly easy to see through. The characters seeming "manufactured" still applies, although I suppose it would be difficult to do a lot in around four minutes.
Having a Tsundere and all, this one seemed to be aiming a little more specifically towards certain groups. Still, it was mostly mild so it seems like it could be a reasonable balance to draw in the desired groups while not necessarily putting people off.
I thought it was interesting that the swimsuit fantasy the character had also included her having a slightly different appearance, from a fanservice point of view it would seem to undermine the particular appeals of the character's design. On the other hand, I suppose it gives a bit more variety to the fanservice despite just having the one character. There could also be a case for it being aimed at inspiring those who may be interested in the exercise aspect of the show (by suggesting possible results from the exercise), though I did feel that the show wasn't taking the idea entirely seriously.
I wonder if there'll turn out to be an actual character that we see things from the perspective of, that could be interesting. I think it would be expecting too much to believe an actual story might develop but I do kind of like the idea.
The blurring issue from last time didn't seem to appear in this episode, so that's something. It's a reasonably well constructed show with some educational value. I'm not sure it would rate highly as entertainment but to be fair it may be better than some other short shows.
I wonder if it's kind of strange that I'm spending more time writing about these odd short anime than watching them (maybe it's strange enough that I'm watching them in the first place).

Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex-Episode 13
Decent episode though I found it a tad silly that a girl aged rapidly when no express reason was given.
I guess it's a case of "science did it", I think someone even says "It's probably best not to think about it too much". The whole thing is really just an excuse for a (fairly cool) special forces operation episode.
