What I'm really trying to check is if the disc has both the Japanese language track with the original music and the dub with the replacement music. Being the obsessive nut I am, ideally I'd like to have both for the sake of comparison.

ANN'S Buried Treasure article mentions that CPM's version of Dominion has the Manga UK dub and replaced score. You're good to go.

Ah, that would be most awesome of you, thanks very much. According to amazon there were two releases of the original Dominion and I'm not sure if there's any difference between the earlier and the later edition aside from the box art, but it's this one I've ordered anyway:

I suspect they are identical. Mine is this one:

and I can confirm it has the original subbed Japanese as well as the dub version Manga UK put out (with the cheesy "Keep your body movin'" song during the memorable dance scene), so the article is accurate

Excellent I've actually only seen clips of the sub, but I got the impression that the music changed the tone of the series quite drastically. Should be interesting to finally see how they compare. Thanks again.

Anyway, I'm not into watching anything much on the computer so I own all my titles. Plus I'm a bit of an avid collector. Onto my list:

1. Ghost in the Shell: SAC - My first proper anime 'series' purchase since then I've been hooked. I own both UK boxsets.

2. Texhnolyze - Purchased the UK boxset when it first got released. One of my personal favourite sets.

3. Gungrave - Unfortunately, I only have one of those slightly dodgy e-bay sets for this and deserves so much better than that. I plan to upgrade it to a proper release in the future.

4. Death Note - Me being me, impatient that is, I have the 2 part region 1 set. It was worth it though.

5. Paranoia Agent - UK boxset and I also own most of the Satoshi Kon movies.

6. Wolf's Rain - I own the region 1 boxset for this.

7. Mushi-shi - Hmm, I think it's the region 2 set I own. The VERY thin pack.

8. Gilgamesh - Again, the region 1 boxset.

9. Boogiepop Phantom - The region 1 'brick' boxset.

10. Kino's Journey - Region 1 boxset.

When you say you can't tell which LoGH discs are legit, I take it you're looking for a Japanese release? I'm reasonably certain it's never had an official release in English (sadly).

While there are no english dubs, I have hear rumour of a copy with an English sub that is legit. Bugger if I know which it is though.

1) Whisper of the Heart
I own it. Was a pain though, as originally, play.com sent out the wrong DVD. Was worth the wait though - an absolutely beautiful film.

2) The Cat Returns
I own the DVD. Almost beat Whisper of the Heart for Number 1.

3) Code Geass
I own all of Season 1, and the first half of Season 2. It's like Death Note mixed with Gundam. What's not to like?

4) Outlaw Star
One of the first anime I was exposed to. I own the entire series on bootleg, but will be buying the Beez Anime Legends release.

5) Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
I don't own it yet - but I will buy it as soon as the DVD is released.

6) Cowboy Bebop
I watched this series on AnimeCentral, but I haven't brought the DVD yet.

7) Itazura na Kiss
Currently unlicensed

8) Elfen Lied
Seriously...it's not the nudity, it's not the gore. It's just, the innate human desire and stuff that makes me love this show.

9) Azumanga Daioh
I own it all in a DVD boxset.

10) Mobile Suit Gundam 00
I own part 1 and part 2.


Naruto would be on the list, but I hate the anime. Animation went down in Shippuden, and I was scared from buying DVDs after 2 faulty season 3 boxsets. Bleach, I still buy, but fillers are a pain.
