It's quite an odd premise with the dead wife/mother of a father and daughter returning in the body of a 10 year old and getting their lives moving again after being depressed for 10 years. Some of the scenes where they treat a girl as an adult was definitely weird, but overall it was an enjoyable emotional roller coaster.
The art and animation however weren't great. I've said before that it's not particularly important in this type of story, but some of it was pretty ugly!
7/10

OKITSURA
eps 11 & 12 (complete)
Tofu and shamen.
A fun edutainment about Okinawa. It was a sort of love triangle with the MC fancying the upbeat tomboyish Hina, meanwhile the more reserved Kana fancies the MC and uses the fact that Hina uses a lot of Okinawan dialect to talk to him by way of translating. My favourite though was Yae who could see that Kana fancies the MC and either teased her or put her in situations that meant she had to get close to the MC in some way. The educational side was very interesting too.
Art and animation were a lot better than it needed to be!

I'm already on the 2 (of 3 to be released) Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final OVAS, they're a fitting end to the series.

On to the next batch of shows. Still some 2024 to get through, but also moving into 2025.

Zenshuu. (dub) ep 1
A rising star in the anime world suddenly gets writers block when she just about to reach her peak, then an accidental food poisoning Isekais her into her favourite anime film and she discovers she has the power to change the plot. The power sequence was a little weird with a magical girl style transformation, but then she's just sat at a desk drawing like mad! Maybe it would have been better if she did an actual transformation and saw the drawing part in her head before waving her "wand". The image coming alive off the page was pretty cool even if it was a straight rip off of the God Warrior scene from Nausicaa (drawn by Hideaki Anno).
Interesting to see where this goes she already has changed a tragic scene into a triumphant one which probably destroys the rest of the plot of the film!

SAOA:GGO II (dub) ep 1
Squad Jam 3 is about to kick off. Pretty sure I must have watched s1 subbed, but that was 8! years ago, so I've forgotten what they sound like, so I'll just watch dubbed.

Honey Lemon Soda ep 1
A girl who was so shy in middle school that she was called "stoney" and bullied wants to reinvent herself in high school, unfortunately she flunked her entrance exam to the smart school and ends up picking the school where some of the bullies go to, but so does the pretty boy she met one time and told her that's where he was going. Nice looking Shoujo romance, hopefully our MC comes out of her shell fairly quickly, the signs were there towards the end of the first episode at least.

Mono ep 1
2 girls join the photography club, but their senpai graduates and the club is in danger of folding, so they buy cameras rather than use their phones like in year 1. In going to pick up one of them they meet an eccentric mangaka who asks to use them as the basis of her new manga as she's out of ideas and they go take photos. Bit of an odd start in meeting side characters rather than the rest of the inevitable club members, but I was getting a bit of a Yuru Camp vibe and sure enough this is an adaptation of a 4-koma by Afro (mangaka of Yuru Camp).

Dorehedoro series 1 rewatched + S2 eps 1 and 2

Man Dorehedoro is so good! I love everything about it, maybe I'd still prefer 2d animation in an ideal world, but the CGI doesn't annoy me. I think it was @Professor Irony who said that it reminds him of 90s anime, and I agree with that. There's something special about its mix of endlessly imaginative world building, humour, mystery, and ultra violence. Most of all though, the whole cast of characters are all just so charming and likable, even the massive bug Johnson who only says one word "shocking!" ! I can't believe it's been 6 years since series 1 (how on earth has that much time passed!? It feels like a few years at tops!). The first couple eps of series 2 are a very strong indeed!

Appropriately enough, I’ve been back to it as well

Dorohedoro S2 ep3-5 (English dub)

The second season’s been kind of a curious experience as, for all it keeps feeling like we’re close to the story being resolved, it’s so capricious that it also feels like it could happily keep chugging along forever with little tangents and side-stories. I’m still surprised at how explicitly gory it’s been this time, but the show’s tone is so lighthearted that it never feels anything like as gruesome as it probably ought to. I certainly laughed quite hard at the sight of the Ebisu doppelgänger being squeezed out of a toothpaste tube

Also quite appreciate that CR has the English dub now, I thought it might have been a Netflix exclusive thing.
I too had very excitedly started re-watching the first season, after the increasingly unexpected news of the second season. I expected to have forgotten most of the plot, which I most certainly had - especially had forgotten how bat$h*t mental this show is! Like the more recent chainsaw man, there were a fair few varied closing credits and some great tracks from (K)now_name. Loving season 1 all over again, and so glad they've made the second season, which actually sounds more insane from the sounds of it - in Johnson's words: SHOCKING!!
