I'm already on the 2 (of 3 to be released) Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final OVAS, they're a fitting end to the series.Love Live! Sunshine!! episodes 1 - 24 & the movie
Follow up/sequel to the original Love Live series with new characters and locations. Small amount of fan service at the start (swimsuits and wetsuits) but mostly fan service free, also mostly male free as well.
I think I will leave the next Love Live (Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) for a couple of months
Dorehedoro series 1 rewatched + S2 eps 1 and 2
Man Dorehedoro is so good! I love everything about it, maybe I'd still prefer 2d animation in an ideal world, but the CGI doesn't annoy me. I think it was @Professor Irony who said that it reminds him of 90s anime, and I agree with that. There's something special about its mix of endlessly imaginative world building, humour, mystery, and ultra violence. Most of all though, the whole cast of characters are all just so charming and likable, even the massive bug Johnson who only says one word "shocking!" ! I can't believe it's been 6 years since series 1 (how on earth has that much time passed!? It feels like a few years at tops!). The first couple eps of series 2 are a very strong indeed!
I too had very excitedly started re-watching the first season, after the increasingly unexpected news of the second season. I expected to have forgotten most of the plot, which I most certainly had - especially had forgotten how bat$h*t mental this show is! Like the more recent chainsaw man, there were a fair few varied closing credits and some great tracks from (K)now_name. Loving season 1 all over again, and so glad they've made the second season, which actually sounds more insane from the sounds of it - in Johnson's words: SHOCKING!!Appropriately enough, I’ve been back to it as well
Dorohedoro S2 ep3-5 (English dub)
The second season’s been kind of a curious experience as, for all it keeps feeling like we’re close to the story being resolved, it’s so capricious that it also feels like it could happily keep chugging along forever with little tangents and side-stories. I’m still surprised at how explicitly gory it’s been this time, but the show’s tone is so lighthearted that it never feels anything like as gruesome as it probably ought to. I certainly laughed quite hard at the sight of the Ebisu doppelgänger being squeezed out of a toothpaste tube…
Also quite appreciate that CR has the English dub now, I thought it might have been a Netflix exclusive thing.
