DEAD DEAD DEMONS DEDEDEDE DESTRUCTION (dub) eps 14-17
New beginnings.
14 to 16 finishes the main plot and 17 goes back to the end of 0. I found the ending somewhat of a cop out (the father of Kadode, who was the focus of ep 0, uses the mind shifting machine to change the past so the invasion never happens!), but enjoyed the rest of the story quite a lot with a set of interesting characters and the main theme about friendship. There's lots of other themes about society and government and some of it quite dark and plenty of weirdness too, but the weirdness to depressing ratio is the flip of Goodnight Punpun, so, so much more enjoyable.
Art and animation were very good. Asano's art is quite unique, especially the character designs and whilst I haven't read the manga they seem to have captured that well.

The second season of MF Ghost continues right where we left off which can be jarring when there's a year gap, but the race continues and it's pretty entertaining. The main issue from the first season is still here with the fanservice aspect but other than that it's still a good time. This season does end in the middle of a race but thankfully Season 3 has been confirmed.

Fun series. Plot is just ok, but the characters are great and Inglis is a hoot. Unfortunately this originally aired during that period when Crunchyroll was releasing very little on disc during the transition period around the buyout, and it's old enough now it will probably never get a blu-ray release. :confused:
