Narenare -Cheer for You!- eps 10-12 (complete)
Nice catch.
A sort of CGDCT about cheerleading, but with a bit too much melodrama surrounding an incident just prior to the events in the show. The characters were nice enough with the usual mix of archetypes, although there was a new one on me, the cheerful, but quick to get too passionate about stuff Japanese-Brazilian halfu, Anna. There's been plenty of foreigners in anime, but I think this is the first Brazilian one I can recall. Looking it up on Google seems there's plenty in football shows and also a lot in Michiko & Hatchin.
The art was OK, a lot of use of different colours for outlines, which worked OK with close ups, but when characters were far away the dominant colour was the outline colour, which was weird. The animation was OK too, but all the dance routines were pretty stiff CG.

The Duke of Death and His Maid s3 eps 10-12 (complete)
The power of friendship and happy ever after.
The end of this season is also the end of the story so there were plenty of final reveals and threads tied up. I said at the end of the last season that reason for the curse could be uncompelling, but when explained fully with the flashbacks to that part of the story I felt I could understand that the reasoning was a bit more than just pure jealousy. The way it was undone was fairly moving, if a little tropey. The romantic part of the story had a beautiful ending, although again a little bit tropey with the old one leaving only for the other to make a desperate dash to bring them back.
The art and animation has been consistent throughout the story, so I'm fully used to it, even if it's not your regular style.
Back to 8/10 after s2 dip to 7.
