I reckon My Girlfriend is Shobitch has humour that is "old fashioned" for today's market.
As someone brought up by the Carry On films, Confessions of a Window Cleaner and Benny Hill, I found it funny and laughed out loud a lot. Also found the strange romance rather sweet.
Hence, I've never recommended it to anyone.
One of the attractions of anime for me, is that it might be the last place in TV land to find inappropriate humour.

Thought I'd test out a 4K disc. Yes, very pretty!!
I was going through the Mamoru Hosoda Movie Marathon and realised I hadn't done a proper review of it. So my review is in there now.
Also I realised that, that thread is still in the General Anime section and not the Simulwatch section, guess it got missed in the shuffle @Rui maybe because I didn't label it as a simulwatch in the title.

Lots more characters introduced. I didn't like as many as S1 but still good. Still not reached the Games.
Highlights were the singing from Kazuki the Black Tone. Bet that bit is not dubbed.
I loved Lucnoca's voice. I'd fall asleep quickly if she told me bedtime stories.
I finally started
Non Non Biyori Repeat with episode 1.
Lovely. The simple excitement of a new rucksack. Liked the opening and ending songs. There was a great song during the episode also.

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Episodes 1-6
Also known as New Mobile Report Gundam Wing. Having a lot of fun with this one! Wing is both very beloved but also divisive with Gundam fans. The important thing about the series so far is that it is a melodrama. UC Gundam might have its cartoony slapstick and intense emotion but it also typically tries to ground itself in realism. Wing does not. It has the set up for a serious war story about the ethics of terrorism in the face of oppression but that plays at the maximum volume. It's not enough for the war profiteer who uses conflicts to gain more political power to be a rich man in a suit. He is a blue blood aristocrat prancing around his castle in all his regalia. The rebels name their boy assassin after the greatest peace advocate the nation has ever known before sending him to war for the sake of peace. It's intentionally absurd and being so brazen means you'll either enjoy the obvious hypocritical irony or turn it off for being unsubtle. I can imagine this all falls apart by the end. Currently Wing is juggling 6 main characters with their own stories. But so far I like most of them so far.
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust (Rewatch) - Sat down to watch the newest Blu-Ray release form Japan. This does not include English subtitles for the Japanese dub but it does include the English audio track that was the film's original recording. But it appears they have done some tinkering to improve not just the video quality but also the sound quality compared to the previous releases. Now you can fully appreciate John DiMaggio in his 4 different roles in the movie like never before.
This might be my favourite animated film. I got a lot more out of it the second time through and I want to try fleshing out my thoughts somewhere. I'll read the original novel at some point but I just want to sit with the film for a bit first. Though I am left to ponder the eternal question: What does D actually need money for?

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines (dub) ep 1
Seems like it could be a fun one, although one or two characters could be annoying.
Pseudo Harem ep 1
Rin is so cute in all her different versions. This just seems like a couple goofing off together and that there'll be zero drama.
Days with My Stepsister ep 1
This was much slower paced than the others and seems like it will be a more straight romance than a rom-com.
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (dub) ep 1
More fun times. A bit more wordy than Makeine, but definitely less so than Stepsister even though all three are light novel adaptations.
Pseudo Harem was probably my favorite so far it's definitely more snappy, felt like a 4-koma adaptation. It's a web manga though so maybe each vignette would have been longer than a 4-koma, but not as long as a regular manga chapter.
