Up to episode 16 in Rose of Versailles. It's such a pretty anime and full of sparkles. Again, I love the melodrama to boot. It amazes me how some anime nowadays are more poorly animated and drawn compared to those from 70's and 80's.

Would love to see the retro anime art style picked up again!

WataMote 4
I've seen a lot of negative comments about this episode but honestly, I found this the easiest episode to watch - I finished it laughing my head off. My only suggestion would be the subs using a word more similar to "groped" than "molested", as that's really what it was about.

I think it might be because this show thrives on second-hand embarrassment becoming 1.5-hand due to people relating to things in the show, whereas I'm very discrete about that sorta thing? *shrugs*.

EDIT: Reading up on them more, they seem to be focused a lot on the "train scene". Here's my interpretation of it:

I thought the message was pretty obvious - that Kuroki had actually started to feel down because although she was hearing from numerous people about being groped on trains, even though that's a bad thing, the fact that she hadn't been made her feel that she was inferior to others - that aspect overwrote any possible relief of not having been subjected to the (unfortunately) common train groping because of Kuroki's severe social anxiety.

Then when she was on the train and thought that she was being inappropriately touched herself, she quickly realised how horrible it actually is. That, if anything, gives the message that fetishing unconsentual sexual contact is wrong.

Sunday Without God Episode 4

Still not sure what the plot is. Utter garbage.
I watched the first episode, thought "What? We're at moe gravekeepers now?", left and never came back.

How could anyone really have anything negative to say on that episode, particularly that scene. It is exactly how you say it is hell, she even spells it out saying things like "you think you're so hot cause you got molested" and then clearly not enjoying the "experience" herself. If anyone struggled to understand and saw that scene as anything different then they're trying too hard to read anything into it and are just looking to nitpick and for things to complain about.

I was the same after the first two episodes. Brilliant premise, woeful execution.

Audino...maybe it's just internet denizens trying to find something to be offended by as usual, especially as things like rape hysteria are all the buzz on social media websites at the moment. If anything, I found that episode to be the easiest to watch out of all of them so far.

Garden of Words

Dem Visuals, Dat voice acting... Dat everything... Absolutely loved this! Well worth the wait.
It's also encouraged me to pick up the 5cm Per Second Bluray, which to my surprise not only contains 5cm, but Voices of a Distant Star as well as She and Her Cat (neither of which I have seen before.)
