Bakuman. s2 e10 - Great tension and atmosphere in this arc, and any excuse to get Hattori back into things is a good one.

Gundam AGE e9 - This was the first episode where I really, really thought "Aha! This really is being made by a video game company who specializes in RPGs after all!". But still, it remains a fun watch.

I constantly wonder if you notice how this thread has always been used to make a note of anime you have watched, and how your posts are a more different version of that.

Does it really make a difference? I mean a lot of people just post the title and episodes of the stuff they've watched so whether they have watched or intend to watch seems rather irrelevant. It's a viewing journal, and like any journal it can document what has happened or what someone intends to do.

Star Knight Tekkaman Blade - Episodes 48 - 49 [Final]

A brilliant end to a fantastic series, Tekkaman Blade lived up to all my expectations and thoroughly deserves it's cult status.

today's ghost hound was okbut i think its losing the plot a lil but il have to wait and see.

bleach season 3 disc 4 was freakin awesome, i mean the first time i watched the discs 4 and 5 i was blown away but disc 4 really put me on the edge of my seat.

final disc of ghost hound and final disc of bleach season 3 tomorrow

Idolm@ster 18

Ehhhh. It's a Ritsuko episode. I don't dislike Ritsuko but...I just find her more boring then everyone else. Although this episode felt more like one giant advert for Nano Iro Button and the ps3 ver of Im@s2 more than anything...

I like the crazy notion that a forum can generate discussion.

"How did you like ep 12 of Rurouni Kenshin?" doesn't really fly if the answer is "I don't know yet you idiot, as I said I'm watching it tomorrow". :p

I've been pretty busy but I may as well post my current thoughts on what i've been watching:

Persona 4 the Animation episodes 1-10

As a big fan of the Persona 4 game, I'm quite surprised that some people don't really like the anime, because I really am enjoying this, sure the pacing at the start felt rushed but as episodes progressed it started to get better and better.

It's mostly thanks to how the director has approched the main character Yuu Narukami, sure he can be emotionless but it's been used for comedic affect and his lines can be hilarious. My feelings on the other characters still remain very likeable.

The Kanji arc still remains my favorite out of the bunch, while others have great fight sequences.

So coming up to the half way point, i'm still very positive on Persona 4: The Animation.

Ben-To episodes 1-10

I was looking forward to this new David Production project and it's certainly been a blast so far, one of the best guilty pleasures of the season.

To take a simple premise of students fighting for Ben-to and add some fantastic fight animation and fun characters, it makes me want to check it out every week.

Sadly episodes 8 & 9 were more disapponting than entertaining but episode 10 is a return to form and hopefully the last episodes can build on that.

Sure it's not afraid to show fan-service and can be dumb but I can't deny how much fun it's made my Sunday mornings.

Fate/Zero episodes 2-11

I wanted to watch Fate/Stay Night before watching this and comparing both that to Fate/Zero, you can see why it was made my ufotable instead of DEEN.

Fate/Zero's production is incredible for starters, a lot of attention was put into character design and backgrounds and I don't blame ufotable at all for taking a season break so they can keep it up.

It also feels very intelligent when characters are talking about various topics, like character motivations or on the topic of the Holy Grail, it always feels interesting, like Madoka Magica; Gen Urobuchi has really made an impact in 2011 for his phenomenal writing.

Only nitpick as we come to the half way mark, is that some characters aren't explored as much but this issue might go away in the next season.

So far, Fate/Zero has been awesome and it's obvious that i'll be watching the 2nd half in the Spring season.

Mashiroiro Symphony: The Color of Lovers episodes 1-10

Harem anime has been very disappointing this year, We Without Wings being awful and A Bridge to the Starry Skies being very below average, is this a better effort, well yes it is.

Not that it's brillant by any means but it has things that I like about it, one thing being that it's very light-hearted and the group of main characters always work together and it makes them a likeable bunch.

The love interest has become less predictable and episode 10 has proven that, which again gives me a reason to intrigue me even more.

It does get a bit bland at times though and some characters seem to be cardboard cut-outs but I can say that Mashiroiro Symphony is one of the best Harem titles i've seen in a while.

*phew* I'll leave my thoughts on Mawaru Penguindrum when it finishes me thinks.

Princess Mononoke.
Recorded it on Sky+ yesterday and got a chance to watch it today.
It is indeed rather good, and as said previously, the soundtrack is really nice at points, although coming from a Sky+ recording, not up there with DVD/Bluray versions :)

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Quite torn about it. There’s nothing more you can do when it’s based on existing material, and it felt like a VERY extended episode. But at the same time it felt like the story just would not work in an episodic manner.

The beef I’ve always had with the Suzumiya franchise is that despite it being an endless pool of ideas where anything can happen, for whatever reason, in however it chooses… it just seems to be wasted on insubstantial matters - less about the awe, speculation and concepts, and more about the tiny things and small (almost insignificant) results. The same can be said here, BUT the mystery is a better one, the characters are a better one (Nagato being everything a thousand fanboys had ever dreamed of) and the payoff is a better one.

The first half was better, what with Kyon’s normality being replaced with… normality. The second half with the more (paradoxically enough) core plot mechanic in full flow, ends up being less interesting. Through all this, though, the tale is a simple one, just plotted very well.

It’s a fragrant world they inhabit, and vivid for sure, but they always just seem to miss the roses and end up with daisies instead.

Still… far better than season two that’s for sure.

3/5

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE - Episode 10

I don't know if it's because I've watched lots of good mecha in the last few months but to be honest I think Gundam AGE is 'OK' so far.
