Lazarus (dub) ep 4
Crashing the party.

Train to the End of the World eps 1-3
Open the future!
With my shows from last Spring nearing the end I thought I'd watch Mother's Basement recommendation video as those sort of videos can be a little spoilery and discovered this, a post-apocalyptic show about 4 girls going on a trip to find their friend who was elsewhere when stuff went tits up! Opens as an absurdist comedy and the cause and effects of what caused the apocalypse is bizarre, but I really like the dynamics between the girls so far.

Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night ep 8
First gig.

Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again ep 4
School cultural festival.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - Episodes 8 - 12 [Final]
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - Miller's Report
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team - Battle in Three Dimensions

This is something like the 8th or 9th time I've watched The 08th MS Team and the first time in a decade and it's still very much one of my favourites. I really like the characters and the way the story develops and it has some great mechanical design in it as well.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Episodes 1 - 3

Started a long overdue re-watch of SAC and so far it's as good as I remembered it being.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX - Episode 4

Giant Gorg

Another favourite of mine, I love Giant Gorg and I'm looking forward to re-watching it on Blu-ray later in the year.

The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold To Another Kingdom Episodes 1-3. I'm going to really enjoy this one, since I loved The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent. I'm a sucker for fantasy romance anime series.

Gundam Duck - Episode 4

Spoiler. I guess

I get this was a whole /killing people is bad/ episode but it felt really weak in my opinion. Even Witch from Mercury with characters like Sophie who didn't get a huge amount of screen time, she still managed to make a pretty big impact in the show as a whole while "The Witch" just kinda didn't. It was more of a /that happened/ moment and really lessened the feelings I could have had with Amate and seeing this happen in front of her

Going to get a lot of hate from this but I do think a few of these things have been a bit too fast paced. Almost like I'm watching a recap episode than a series.

Giant Killing episodes 12-26 (Complete. A good football anime that pays some service to British football and sadly didn’t get a second season despite the manga still running.) 3.5/5

Tower of God Season 2 (Japanese audio) - Episodes 25-26 [Workshop Battle Eps. 12-13] (Completed)

Moonrise is an alright but pretty messy series. The story and premise had a lot of promise, with a solid first episode and I was happy with how it ended in general. That said, the structure of said story is very messy. For example, there's bad pacing in the first act so you have a random time jump which makes the characters you do like become so unlikeable akin to how Shinji was treated in Evangelion 3.0, which despite the flashbacks not long after adding some context, left a sour taste throughout. It also doesn't help that one of the characters is such a bitch that just got worse over the course of the find third of the series (which funny enough that whole portion also reminded me of Code Geass) and it felt like they weren't punished enough (same goes for another character as well). Despite being 18 episodes, there are also a lot of unexplained plot points but at least everything else was decent enough in terms of animation, voice work and action/music.

Recommendation: Watch at least once and don't pay AL CE prices for it.

Tower of God Season 2 was split into two story arcs (one per cour). I watched the first cour last year and now finally got back to watch the second cour recently. I'll start with the negative first - there is unfortunately a downgrade in production here, as we went from TMS Entertainment's Telecom Animation Film studio (Blue Box, Lupin the Third Part IV) over to The Answer Studio (Anne Shirley) which led to pretty messy animation especially during the action, one of the big parts of the series in general. Despite that, the non-action portions are pretty decent and while I wish there was more effort in polishing them up, at least the pacing of the show was decent and kept me going. The story and characters are based on the Korean WebToon's Part II storyline and I liked it a lot. Bam is still intriguing and the side cast are all pretty welcoming as well which is nice since a lot of anime tends to make you wish more screentime was on the MC. The music is still as strong as ever thanks to Kevin Penkin returning and the theme songs were great as well. No clue if they'll ever continue the adaptation but I hope they do because I really dig the story and where its going, but I do wish they put more effort in the uality of the end product so that it doesn't end up being a waste of an IP.

Recommendation: Worth a watch.
