Pride of Orange eps 11 & 12 (complete)
Final.
This jumped the shark from the opening scene of Japan beating Canada at Ice Hockey and then the girls performed an idol-esque victory song!
It tried to meld CGDCT and sports anime together which meant the drama from the sports side wasn't as deep as it normally would and was pretty tropey. Also, unlike most sports show, I felt I didn't learn much about the sport despite quite a few training sessions.
The CGDCT side of it made it a bit unbelievable that the girls who we were first introduced to, in their school embroidery club of all places, would be first teamers in their first year playing competitively despite there being a sizable selection of senpais. The 3 introduced a bit later all played before joining though.
The idol stuff was completely random and they only performed 3 times total, being flawless despite no training bar "warm-ups" their coach insisted on. This was probably crowbarred in as it's basically an ad for a game and it worked for Uma Musume!
Despite all this it was a bit of cute fluffy fun and I enjoyed it, but it's still probably my least favourite anime from both genres.
The animation was pretty good in the games and especially the idol performance, it didn't have that cg look to either, so either they animated it really well or they made the cg blend in a lot better than I've seen.

Taisho Otome Fairy Tale ep 12 (complete)
Belated celebration.
This was a really sweet romance story despite a bit of an uneasy set up. A boy from a rich family gets permanently injured in an accident, but instead of taking care of him his father ships him to the countryside and tells everyone he's dead! At least he buys him a wife! Yuzuki, who is 14, is said candidate and agrees to it because her father is in debt. Now I'm guessing all this is true to the historical setting and the actions and attitudes of the fathers were accepted 100 years ago, but it might be unpalatable to some. However once the 2 MCs settle into there new circumstances of new surroundings and being betrothed the romance is very gentle and never goes much further than being embarrassed at thinking about the next step. Yuzuki's friend, who I assume is the same age, does get pregnant though!
It's very much an iyashikei type of show where Yuzuki is a bundle of joy and kindness and improves peoples lives just by meeting her. The closest thing I can compare it to is Senko-san. However there is a bit of a curveball towards the end using an historical event which I found surprising, but was a good bit of drama thrown into the mix.
The art and animation were pretty good. The character designs weren't too wild, but the clothing, especially for the girls were nice.
