Two more from the Manga Force Collection:

Bubblegum Crash
An enjoyable 3 OVA series about a squad of women in mech suits against terrorist that the police can't handle. Didn't particularly matter that it was a sequel to Bubblegum Crisis, which I haven't seen.

Blood: The Last Vampire (rewatch)
Some of the CG has dated, but some of it still holds up. The character model faces sometimes look a bit weird as well. Overall an enjoyable, if short film.

Tsuki ga Kirei eps 4-7
Akane and Kotarou make quite a sweet couple, but for me they're too similar to get the best out of each other. I'm shipping Chinatsu & Kotarou, and Akane & Hira

Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Th-th-that's all folks!

Beyond the Boundary movie 1: Past
I thought this was actually pretty decent for a highlights film. It's very obvious that it's a highlights film, though: it started to become quite amusing how, every time it cut back to Mirai and Akihito, they always seemed to be battered and bruised from yet another battle we'd just missed!
I've not seen the series and was planning on watching the two films. Would you recommend holding out and watching the series first or does the first film cover it okay?

Gonna Be the Twin-Tail!! (Japanese audio) - Episodes 9-12 (Complete)

Well this show was something.

November on-disc backlog progress:
Completed:
#01 | The Tatami Galaxy
#02 | Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid
#03 | Space Dandy Season 2
#04 | Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine
#05 | Serial Experiments Lain
#06 | Gonna Be the Twin-Tail!!

Remaining:
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan
Love Live! School Idol Project Season 2
Tokyo ESP
If there's time I may add Blood Lad to this month's backlog progress.

Fate / Zero ep16-17

Things are certainly moving now. I still find myself wondering what this show would be like if it had been a single cour instead of two, though. It's difficult to pin down exactly what you could cut, but as a full 26 episodes, it does feel stretched out.

Definitely hold out for the series, I'd say. The first film would give you a broad understanding of the world of Beyond the Boundary but no more than that. The supporting characters get little to no screen time, so you wouldn't get the chance to become familiar with them or learn about their back stories or abilities. You'd also miss out on a lot of the brilliantly animated action sequences.

Once you've seen the series, so could probably just skip the vast majority of movie 1, but make sure to watch the brief post-credits sequence, because it's a new bit that sets up the story for movie 2. Other than that part, movie 1 is just a pure clip show with nothing new to see — totally unlike the Gurren Lagann movies you were asking about before! :)

Double-post. Sorry.

Gonna Be the Twin-Tail!! (Japanese audio) - Episodes 5-8

This show entertains me.

Note: For the best Twin-Tail!! experience, watch the Blu-ray version as the TV Broadcast had a fair amount of animation issues. This also includes the Crunchyroll stream as they initially simulcasted the series for European territories before they extended the regions with Funimation's added zones.

Grav's post reminded me of HWR's Berserk-related one from a while back:
Same, and the JP Blu Rays for 2016 fixed a lot of the notorious animation issues, it's not perfect but it's an improvement for sure.

I'm hoping it's the image on the left that's the fixed version? The one on the right is super-CG!

Yeah the left one is the fixed version. They fixed a few scenes that were particularly bad, still not amazing looking, but it's still watchable and for me, enjoyable.

Yet another 2 from Manga Force Collection:

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth
Death is a highlight show of episodes 1-24. Having just finished the manga I could tell the events weren't in chronological order. It seemed to be clips focusing on one pilot at a time. Rebirth is roughly the first third of EoE.

Neon Genesis Evangelion: End of Evangelion
A rewrite of the end of the show, replacing episodes 25 & 26. Although both very similar I must say I preferred the way the manga handled the end.

Tsukiga ga Kirei eps 8-12 (complete)
Very kawaii!
I kept thinking there was going to be a but, especially after Kotarou didn't get into the same school as Akane. Then I thought OK, maybe a second season when Akane wrote "what happens next" on the comments on his story, but then the credits rolled and we got some more story in LINE messages ("seaman class" LOL) and finally this:

Boruto: Naruto next Generations episode 34

Black Clover episode 8

Inuyashiki episode 7

Devil is a part Timer
episodes 9-13 (Complete. This was a pretty funny fantasy series that fall under the category of 'stuck with a 13 episode run with no sign of a second season'. That being said I wouldn't mind seeing another, as I quite liked the concept) 3.5/5

Devil May Cry
episodes 1-12 (Complete. This was a title I'd forgotten I owned. The series doesn't have much relevance to the games, and is okay, if unremarkable. It is kind of reminiscent of the violent anime series' of old however, and Dante is at least a badass character.) 3/5
