Up to episode 24 of Lucky Star. Just that and the OVA left. :(

I feel that, between this and his promo work for Haruhi, seiyuu Minoru Shiraishi was really put through the mill. He's such a great sport. :D

Mushi-shi OVA and Mushi-shi Next Passage 1

Got tired of waiting for a nice blu ray release of this and started it up on crunchyroll.

Feels like ages since i watched the original Mushi-shi and I've forgot just how relaxing and therapeutic this show feels. Truly one of my all time favourite series.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - Episode 38

Lily C.A.T.

Yes it rips off every sci-fi horror film from the early 80's but I still really enjoyed watching this film.

City Hunter - Episodes 1 & 2

I've been sat on this for a while and I wanted to watch something a different, episode 2 made laugh out loud in several places, looking forward to watching more of this.

The first few episodes are a little different from the rest, it's kind of still setting up the formula at this point. I think it's around episode 6 it hits its stride.

Haganai: I don't have many friends eps 1-3
Pretty enjoyable start, now seeing some history to the characters which is good. Episode 3 started a flashback scene, Then out of nowhere it's interrupted for his naked younger sister to run in the room, full on tits with nipples! Was rather jarring to be honest as I thought the swimming pool scene was gonna have some kinda Bikini slip fan service, but it didn't.

Not sure what to expect next from this now, was not expecting that kinda thing, thought it would just be some wholesome school club slice of life romance affair.

Finished Lucky Star. :) / :(

Days off over the festive period gave the chance to catch up with some Anime Limited Ultimate Edition stuff, including reading the book that comes with Miss Hokusai. A lot of interesting historical background in there.

Also finally got to read the Giovanni's Island book, and listened to the Patema Inverted soundtrack CD for the first time.

Now just to get my Patema numbered art card. (Still waiting. Over two years and counting.)

Was it fanservice, or was it a way of demonstrating how close these siblings are and how comfortable they are around each other?

Okay, it was probably fanservice.

Haganai is kind of an odd show, it has some pretty good ideas but it struggles with making the most of them at times and can get sidetracked with needless distractions. If it wasn't trying to be a slightly fanservicey romance/harem show, it could potentially be something quite brilliant. I quite like the show, it does have some good comedy and characters, although it's possible that I give it a bit more credit for my own interpretations that may not have been fully intended.

As it happens, Kobato is my favourite character in the show but that kind of depends on seeing her as something other than a fanservice vehicle and imouto with a brother complex archetype (which is quite probably what she is intended to be).

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion-Episodes 20-22

If the world of Code Geass had a large history book of the world's biggest 'Oops' moments, I think the events of Episode 22 would certainly be at the top. Absolutely brutal.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan-Episodes 11-13

Well, that's my rewatch of the first half done, will move on to Part 2 tomorrow.

Mushi-Shi Next Passage episodes 2-10 and OVA

A great selection of episodes. Another 40 odd minute OVA was a great surprise, didn't realise it was on CR too! Now I just need to find out where I can watch the anime movie once I finish this.

Oh I'm quite sure it was fan service... the same sentiment of being comfortable around each other could have easily been portrayed in that scene without having to see the full on nudity.

But yes i'm still enjoying the show now I know to expect the random nude scene and the full on horny advances of rikia. So on that note

Haganai: I don't have many friends eps 4-8
Really enjoying the shows themes of socially awkward people procrastinating about making friends. I could really relate to the scene in which some cast members really couldn't handle being around so many people, I really can't handle those kinda situations very well and often need to get out and get some personal space.
