Words of Wisdom: Marriage

Strange. All the while, my predicament is how to get a husband who will like anime as much as I do but is not a sexist, insecure, illiterate, reclusive online freak with no experience of real-life women.
Add adventurous and awesome and then you have me, but I must warn you that my standards are high.

I **** hate when people label themselves as otaku.

"DINGDONG!"

so what's this now confessions from a basement dweller who was unloved as a child. scrap that he's still a child, since he can't seem to spell three letter words, plus he spelled "failure" as "otaku"

As a reclusive literate insecure on-line feminist freak with (mainly negative) experience with real life women I'm not sure what to make of that.

But thanks for the laughs, nonetheless, Aion.

Sexist - probably not
Insecure - check
Illiterate - certainly not
reclusive online freak with no experience of real-life women - check, but potentially not as reclusive as some

Definitely not what you had in mind.

I'm not

>.>

<.<

Seriously though, post something like that in an online anime forum, where most dwellers are male in their late teens / young adult mark.

As for experience with women I can only recommend you to get the prettiest hooker you can find.

Your life will change forever, I guarantee =P

It probably would, but no thanks. I refuse to go in a strip club, so no way am I going to go and find a prostitute.

Sorry, meant that as a general recommendation for the lulz, not as a personal jab at you.

Oh I didn't take it as a jab. Merely a suggestion to which I ignored.

I assumed you were talking generally anyway, but responded just in case.

Well VivisQueen congratulations. You've derailed the topic into Blind Date XD

You must admit, at least I'm original, especially when I did not intend it. I thank the contenders wholeheartedly, but alas I'm busy eyeing up someone in the office. He works for a women's empowerment organization - tells me all I need to know.

Yesss... I imagine perhaps it does. >_> <_<

Joking aside, are office romances really a good idea? Because as someone who now works in an office which is 3/4 women, it would be useful to know.

I pity the fool. The women around me are quite powerful, which I find insanely sexy.
But I reckonize that in certain places women really need empowerment.

From experience I'll say no. The smaller your workplace, the worse.

Haha! I didn't quite think of it that way. But thank you for bringing it to my attention. The cad!

Furthermore, I'd never seriously consider an office romance. I just mean I'm enjoying watching from a distance but not touching. Touching involves mutual feelings and 'rules of the game' and all that annoying claptrap I can currently do without. But man, he does have a magnetic bright smile... *sigh*

Watching from a distance is bad... when you least realized you got yourself emotionally involved, which causes all sorts of pain later.

*deleted bad advice*

I digress. Platonically watching an interest reminds me of high school.

One day tyhe girl actually showed some interest in me, but I idolitized her so much that when push came to shove, I panicked.

Been on the same office teasing each other might work better. See how the guy responds and take it from there. I've heard that volunteering is a good way to meet interesting people and as you noted before, the kind of charity already tells you a lot about the person volunteering for it.

I understand not wanting to use a prostitute, but what is the problem with strip clubs?

You know, there really ought to be a place where geeks can find other geeks for relationships, etc. Nothing like that exists that I know of.

Always thought that conventions and the likes were these palces... Anwyay, that doesn't work for me, so yeah I'm doing it wrong.

Then again, no need to have a geek partner.
