Will Shuffle get licensed you think?

Im a pretty big fan of the series and im pretty disapointed it hasnt been licsensed for the uk yet.
Apprently it sold pretty well in the USA so im really hoping it comes over here what do you think the chances are?
 
Its possible it could come out here, but i still think its a bit unlikely and just be released in the US.

Shuffle from what i know goes down the same lines i think as Kanon and Air, which where both adult visual novels(but had all age versions released as well) and will remove the adult content and focus more on the story than anything else, best to wait for someone thats watched it though to say to be sure.

Lunar Legend Tsukihime and Fate/ Stay Night are also based on Visual Novels, as with Higuarshi. But most have done what you said, in removing the adult content and just focusing on one particular storyline or merging elements of many into one coherent plot
 
Shuffle was an unexpected big seller for Funimation in the US.

Anything is possible, but considering Revelation at the moment, I shouldn't think so in the forseeable future.

I haven't seen Kanon or Air, but this is correct for Shuffle. (I haven't actually played the game either, but I've seen screen grabs that show the original version of the game was pretty explicit).

FWIW, although it starts with about as much depth as Angel Delight Shuffle really hits you hard on and off from about 2/5ths of the way through. I've been holding off importing in the hope that a R2 release would be made.
 
This kind of show doesn't seem to be very popular here, so I'd be surprised if a UK distributor picked it up. If shows like Girls Bravo, Maburaho, DearS, and Please Teacher/Twins aren't considered viable, then I have my doubts about Shuffle.

It is quite a shock when after it has been running on quite light and fluffy it suddenly hits you with a couple of quite dark story sections.
 
It's not like no visual noval animes haven't been released in the UK

take Utawarerumono for example, would be good for it to get a release, but can't see it happening
 
Please Teacher is one of my favourite romances, too. The characters actually consumate their relationships, ZOMG

Beez are clearly not convinced of its selling potential, but surely all they need to do is make sure Mizuho's tits grace each cover?

I hope not. Shuffle is one of the biggest let down's ive watched in years.

they did a pretty decent job developing it from a game.

I think Mizuho's tits are the problem :p. A friend of mine said it looked like hentai from the boxset case and cover for each volume. It also set off an alarm in HMV in Dundee when I had it in my bag. The guy behind the counter had to take it and deactivate it. I bet it would look dodgy to anyone unfamiliar with anime. >_>

Happens to me alot :|. I bet alot of people think we're perverts when we take series like Ikki Tousen (which I regret, the series is rubbish) too the counter :p.

That's why I buy online... =)

Anyway, Tenjo Tenge is better than ikkitousen in my opinion. And for a good fighting anime, airmaster.
I still have to understand why creators of fighting animes fill them up with so much pointless fanservice. Not even Dragon ball escaped that (thinking about Bulma first appearance here)
