This game.....my word. Got it for £6 from amazon PC download sale a few weeks back, wish I paid full price and gave the devs the money they deserve. Such an excellent game. Think i'm about 3/4 of the way through and my Lara is turning in to John Rambo and literally massacring everyone in her way.
I love this game, never though I would, but damn I do.
Just finished Ground Zeroes today, really enjoyed it - the length doesn't bother me that much, just whets my appetite for Phantom Pain even more. The lack of wall-knocking kind of irks me too, as infinite magazines kills the realism factor... Some other people have commented that any kind of noise you make can be used to attract guards, so I guess that's a bit of compensation. I'm not sure about reflex mode, makes some situations a bit too easy in my opinion. Glad the option to disable it is there.Sparrowsabre7 said:At the moment I'm playing Ground Zeroes. Kind of wish I'd gone digital for a better value experience, but hey ho. It's still pretty great. The new marking and reflex features work really well and feel like part of the game proper instead of a crutch. Reflex especially is helpful in maintaining game flow, slowing down time when you're spotted for a few second so you have time to react and take out your spotter before he alerts others.
The lack of wall-knocking is disappointing, but you now have infinite magazines (of the gun kind, not the made of paper, lay in front of guards to perv over kind) to throw.
Combat also feels MUCH better than any previous MGS game. In other games it wasn't all that well implemented and if you were spotted generally you couldn't really shoot your way out. In Ground Zeroes that is much more achievable, but you still need to hide afterwards, you can't just keep shooting until everyone's gone, because reinforcements will keep coming.
