Did you even try the discs? I have a fair few scratched discs in my collection that play fine.

I was so fortunate as to be granted 70 pence of change from an Asda checkout machine, though only 50 was supposed to have been vended!

In effect, the price paid of my Dr Thunder Zero soft drink bottle was significantly lower than anticipated.
 
Today i recieved my first formal rejection letter from a magazine company that i sent a short story to. It's what i expected really. Won't mean i'm giving up though

This morning Katanagatari landed on my doorstep with an almighty thud. Thankfully it was packaged well enough that there weren't, as I feared, big fat dents to the corners.

For anyone who speaks Japanese (Rui, Maestro), I should mention that the BDs supposedly have forced subtitles. Uh oh, Spaghettios!
 
Oh FFS, mine is still held up in a trsi order with other preorders, tempted to cancel for that (although I have to concentrate so hard when watching that show due to the sheer amount of dialog I suspect I wouldn't be as distracted by the subs as I usually am).

Since I reallyreally want to watch it anyway and the alternative (buying the DVD version, which is soft-subbed properly apparently) is moot in this case, I'll stick with the cheapo R1 sets. My copy is also held up by some other stuff (which Funi has delayed) so I can't watch it for ages ;_;

Blu-ray regioning is annoying for so many reasons.
