What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Goodies over the last few weeks or so.

Another for Summer Wars 4K UHD + Blu-ray + CD Deluxe Edition and NARUTO Shippuden Volume 3 from Anime Limited:

The soundtrack CD in the Summer Wars deluxe edition holds 18 tracks, which is the same number as the Japanese CD release - so it seems like it is indeed the full soundtrack - rather than some kind of cut down version. Which is obviously good, and gives a bit more value to the set - you're looking at ~£20 to ship the OST CD from CDJapan with the cheapest uninsured delivery option.

Not too fussed about the numerous art cards and fabric banner. However, the CD really is the saving grace to the set imo. I hope we get a CD with The Girl Who Leapt Through Time set as well.

Strange Circus (Blu-ray) and Noriko's Dinner Table (Blu-ray) from Terracotta Distribution

Came across a relatively new film label not long ago: New Wave Video. They're an Australian label who seem to be specialising in obscure and extreme Japanese films - so if that's your thing, I'd recommend keeping an eye on them - they're releasing Miike's Visitor Q next, as well as a comprehensive release of Love Exposure in the near future.

Terracotta Distribution seem to be getting their releases to sell in the UK, but they have said what stock they do get is limited. However, you can find them on eBay too or order directly from New Wave Video themselves.

AllTheAnime Easter sale items finally arrived:
Chaika S2 (too complete mystery bundle), greeat pretender, lonley castle, Yohane the Parhelion, I'm quiting heroing and vermeil in gold

Vermeil in gold has a little bit of a dent in the spine and its bugging me so I've got in touch to see what they can do. but its probably considered pretty minor.

I had a similar mark with my copy of Erased. I returned it unwanted and re-bought it from the same site. Thankfully they didn't resend the same copy ;)

May Haul #2

This week I have two pickups; one from last Wednesday and another from yesterday. I do have some films arriving in the coming days but the order was scattered so I'll wait until they're together before I'll mention them.

#2: UNIQLO Shueisha 100th Anniversary Batch 2 T-Shirts
Not long ago I picked up a couple shirts that were part of a range from UNIQLO celebrating 100 years of Japanese publisher Shueisha. They have been releasing new shirts in different batches and since the end of April the second batch have been released which included a couple more designs. Two of which I have picked up; one featuring 2000 Weekly Young Jump manga series GANTZ and another featuring 1976 Weekly Shonen Jump manga series KochiKame: Tokyo Beat Cops, the latter of which has artwork on both sides so the one shown in the photo is actually the back cover.

There is a third batch which I believe is scheduled for around June time that includes artwork from Oshi no Ko, Kaguya-sama, One Piece and many more but I'm happy with what I have chosen. These shirts were also a way for me to replace the custom Red Bubble shirts I've had over the years.

Switch 2 Haul 2026 - Mortal Kombat & Controller.jpg

#3: Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection & Switch 2 Pro Controller
So recently I've watched both the 2021 and 2026 Mortal Kombat films and enjoyed them, the latter of which was a big improvement in terms of respecting the source material. So I figured it was time to finally acquire the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection that Digital Eclipse worked on with Atari and Warner Bros.

This collection features 1992's Mortal Kombat, 1993's Mortal Kombat II, 1995's Mortal Kombat 3 & Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, 1996's Mortal Kombat Trilogy, 1997's Mortal Kombat 4 as well as the two PlayStation spin-offs with 1997's Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and 2000's Mortal Kombat: Special Forces and the Game Boy Advance instalments with 2001's Mortal Kombat Advance, 2002's Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and 2003's Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition. Each of these have different versions available where applicable.

Considering they're retro games I felt Nintendo Switch 2 was the best fit (though Mortal Kombat 4 isn't on the cart because they were rushed on the deadline to get it out for retail I recall) and with that I also needed the Switch 2 Pro Controller so I ordered one as well. I did consider the Resident Evil Requiem variant but I preferred the original design.
