#02: Radiance Films Haul
I ordered some more films from Radiance Film's store for a few reasons; one had a nice slipcase, another had a replacement disc available right away, and another is currently around 80% sold on its stock.

Wayne Wang's Life Is Cheap… But Toilet Paper Is Expensive, 1989 US/Hong Kong film released in the UK on behalf of Arbelos Films, with an exclusive slipcase available on Radiance's store. The limited edition first print also includes a booklet.

Tai Kato's The Tale of Oiwa's Ghost (怪談 お岩の亡霊), 1961 Japanese film that was released with a weird error on the disc not caused by Radiance but the disc production to my recollection. The limited edition release includes a booklet, scanavo packaging and reversible artwork.

World Noir Volume 3, featuring Henri Decoin's Not Guilty (Non coupable) released in France, 1947, Peter Lorre's The Lost One (Der Verlorene) released in Germany, 1951, & Hasse Ekman's Girl with Hyacinths (Flicka och Hyacinter) released in Sweden, 1950. The limited edition release includes a rigid box, a booklet, scanavo packaging and reversible artwork.

Trouble Every Day - 09.jpg

#03: Trouble Every Day
Eureka Entertainment have decided to release some more 4K Ultra HD films from the New French Extremity movement which is pretty much extreme violence and such (French cinema are known for their controversial films after all) and they are doing pretty well sales wise.

This here is Claire Denis' 2001 French film Trouble Every Day and I find it interesting the film was produced across different regions (French, Luxembourg, Germany and Japan) and language is a mixture of English & French. The film stars Vincent Gallo (Buffalo '66, Goodfellas), Tricia Vessey (Ghost Dog, Kiss the Girls) and Béatrice Dalle (Inside, Lux Æterna).

Now Eureka's release for this film is a uniue circumstance because they don't have the license for particularly long, therefore we only have a limited edition 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray combo pack and a standard Blu-ray release. I suppose if the limited edition sells out right away they may be able to make room for a standard 4K Ultra HD but we'll see. The limited edition release includes a rigid box, a booklet, 4K amaray packaging and 4 art cards.

I've already pre ordered the set that's not out till December 15.
I'm a big Turtles fan and I did the same. When i say big I really mean BIG. Like many people started with the 87 cartoon (though I'm sure it was the early 90's before the UK got it over here). Then as a teenager discovered the original version of the Turtles with the Eastman and Laird comics and from then on was just obsessed. That comic ticked all the boxes at the time and still does, absolutely amazing stuff. Given their enduring popularity and the availability of reprints of the comics now, younger fans will ever know the pain some of us had tracking down all the individual issues before the recent trade paperbacks and hardbacks were made available.

I have every single US Mirage comic of TMNT (original continuity) even some of the original printings that Eastman and Laird printed at "magazine size" because they printed them themselves!

The first movie absolutely 100% nails the atmosphere and tone of the comic brilliantly. It's a shame the other 2 weren't more in that vein. One of my all time favourite comic book adaptations! :)

I'm waiting for Rarewaves to do their monthly 10% off before ordering, especially after both the official Arrow site AND Amazon flubbed the release of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly 4K.

Yeah I was reading about that, what a mess. Thankfully HMV didn’t mess my order up.

I received two Blu-ray sets in the mail, one on 8/14 from Media Blasters, and one today from a sale on Gruv:

Kanokon: The Girl who Cried Fox Ultimate Edition with side-load slipbox, two-sided poster and 3XL t-shirt.
One Punch Man Season 2 Limited Edition

I had over 6800 points saved up on the Media Blasters website from previous purchases, so I used 5900 of those points to get the Kanokan UE for only $.99! 🥳

Also today, I received another 18+ figure from Japan. This figure was listed as used with a damaged box, but it looks like it the box is in almost perfect condition to me, with only a couple very minor dents from someone's fingernail used to remove the plastic seals from the lid. The figure and accessories inside the box are complete and don't even look like they were ever taken out of the box... 👍

If you don't mind me asking, How did you notify MB about what sized t-shirt you wanted?

I just sent John a message through the contact form on the MB website with the t-shirt size I wanted. I actually needed a 4XL shirt, but I told him if he hadn't made any in 4XL, a 3XL shirt would be next best - although it will fit me somewhat snugly. Ah well.
