#01: Solo Leveling Season 1
First item of the month is the very popular Solo Leveling series which I watched in a single day. I like the series despite the obvious repeated tropes that are used by other titles but production wise looked great. The limited edition took a while to be picked up because I originally ordered through MVM's Anime-on-Line store but they cancelled due to not enough stock, and I eventually used Rarewaves to secure a copy because their 10% discount was useful. It did take a while to ship but it's here and unharmed.

You can view more photos & specs on my blog.

My (mostly) Discotek haul is here, bask in the glory of my crappy camera! They are a bit more expensive than I would like, but I do love classic anime and want to support them. I think I've got most non-OOP sets from Discotek that I want. Excited for the 9th of August though, when there will be information about future releases!SAM_1444.JPG

Oeh, great to know! Its a bit of a blind buy for me, so I'm curious:)

It's not just a reverse harem romance drama, but so much more - it is full of political intrigue, with international corporations and middle eastern kingdoms jockeying for power and control, with the MC and her possible suitors caught right in the middle of everything. A lot of twists and surprises; I thought the story was very well-constructed and thought out. The series is 39 episodes long, so there's plenty of time to develop the storyline.

Here's some movies that I've gotten in the last few months (yes, I do watch things besides anime). The second and third Sinbad movies and the Bounty are from the defunct Twilight Time label. I always did like Robin Williams and I think that Hook is the best version of Peter Pan ever made. This version of Mutiny On The Bounty starring a young Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins is the best I've ever seen.20250804_021717.jpg

Another for Solo leveling LE from Rarewaves, although looks to have a slight indent along the spine. I assume where someone used a box opener in the warehouse, I thought it might be a cut at first but moving the cellophane arounds I think its just an indented line (Also looks like NormanicGrav's may have come from the same box as the photo on thier copy looks to have the same indent).
Not sure if I'll try for a return or not with it just being an indent.

One Axis Model Works Osiris Aerial Dominator from Ali unboxed, a.k.a 3rd party/bootleg MG Kshatriya 1/100. 60 runners, 1600 parts plus water slide decals and a LED kit. I bought an unboxed version as it was €40 cheaper.

The same company under the name Solomon has a similarly impressive GP02 kit.

One of my personal grail items, the soundtrack for Godzilla: Tokyo SOS. This was the third, and IMO the best, Godzilla score by Michiru Oshima (Bloom Into You, Fullmetal Alchemist) and has been OOP for over a decade. Frustratingly, it did have a rerelease a few years ago... but only on vinyl.

eBay scalpers often ask £100+ for this, so it took years to find a copy at a reasonable price. I finally got it on Mandarake. They rated the condition as 5/10, but they seem to be very cautious about that sort of thing, as I would say it's more a 7 or 8.
