Why are the corners of the slip so beat up on a new release?
I am seeing that a lot here with items from Anime-on-line. I've been buying my Crunchyroll discs from Anime Limited, but as it seems like they aren't getting them anymore, having not gotten anything since the April releases and never responding to my inquiry about this, looks like I will have to also buy from Anime-on-line in the future, and I'm concerned about how they appear to be handling things.
I plan on buying around ten titles at a time so I hope they will package them well.
If you are only ordering a couple of titles, Anime-on-line will normally send them in a bubble wrap envelope. So the slipcovers can get damaged, especially the corners.
Then you should be fine, as Anime-on-line will most likely use a cardboard box to ship that many titles in.
4] If I place an order for an in-stock item and a pre-order, will they be sent separately or together?
Unless requested, any back catalogue stock gets shipped once stock arrives. This usually takes 1-2 days, dependent on if stock is available at the time of ordering. Pre-release item/s will then ship separate as and when they arrive.
Thank you. The other question I have is about preorders. Will they hold an order so everything can ship together? I saw this in their FAQ:
I know the order form has a place to put a note, is that where I would request this?
As I'm outside the UK, maybe orders would be held anyway, but it doesn't really say.
Hmm, the supposedly long oop S1 bluray parts 1 & 2 from Mediablasters, I got mine when they first came out years ago. What pisses me off is that beyond S2 and the ovas that Sentai released is that the rest of Queen's Blade hasn't been released outside japan.Good News Bad News
I found Queen's Blade S2 on Amazon for £17. That was the total price from the USA to the UK. It was still that price yesterday if anyone is interested.
However, what turned up is pictured.
Now I can't wait to get home tonight and check.Hmm, the supposedly long oop S1 bluray parts 1 & 2 from Mediablasters, I got mine when they first came out years ago. This was a while back for me but I got queens blade 2 the first time and it looked a little off, I think it was still a silver disc but the disc print was a little off (overly pink if i recall correct), I think it was still region A but the discs were i think only 25GB disc. I honestly wasn't sure about it so I bought another copy which ws legit, but never sold the old one (its somewhere about) as if I'm unsure on it then I don't want to try selling it off. And it was 2nd hand from a 3rd party amazon seller, so that where it might differ from you.Now I can't wait to get home tonight and check.
It really seemed that I've got S1 and S2.
I haven't read the back, only put in a disc to check regions.

Assuming it was a fake, there are some good fake one's out there, that are hard to spot, (I'll try and have a look for it and maybe give some comparison shots for you)
I eventually found my spare (and probably fake)I've got 2 Blu-rays. Each with 2 discs.
The running time on each box is 300 minutes. So I must have series 1 and 2.
Titles are The Exiled Virgin and The Evil Eye.
S2 is pink.

Here are some comparison shots:
Hopefully it vagueley helps.
I've probably switched the case, knowing me probably on the legit and the fake one, for what ever reason my brain decided (poor or damaged orginal case, or I had spare nicer makes of case (or even it was one of the eco case)), so unfortunatly basing it off the case won't really work. The one you believe to be legit is in a Viva Elite case, which is not something I'd expect a bootleg to use so that seems accurate. The suspected bootleg is in one of those cheap generic cases. That doesn't automatically mean bootleg as Discotek and the new Animeigo often use similar cases and if I remember correctly the one Media Blasters set I have is in that type as well, but it is definitely what I'd expect a bootleg to be in.
It doesn't help that the Region A logo symbol on both is not the real symbol, but I guess from Media Blasters that's no surprise.
Beyond that I don't have any particular insight.
Those aren't fakes-they're 100% real, same case inserts, same exact discs. Media Blasters was using cases which varied depending on which duplicator they were using for their blurays. I do know they were oop for quite a few years and super expensive (if you could even find them) so either somebody found a bunch of unsold stock or else Media Blasters started making them again.I eventually found my spare (and probably fake)

Hopefully it vagueley helps.Top is the one i think is fake and is noticalbly pinker and I would say probably slight less qualitly
As well as the disc looks to be a BD25 rather than a BD50 (see back cover where it states both discs are BD50)

This is where it makes me unsure, as this is the inner circle of the what i think is fake, where it says "Queens blade season 2 disc 2"

Covers although I can barley tell the diffence on these. but does mention the under disc type they are surpossed to be BD50
