Will you push for a replacement of the water damaged bits? Will be a pain (especially if they want it back to do a complete swap and then you face system transfer headaches). My Switch 2 has arrived and despite Smyths and DPDs best efforts to kill it it works. It looks like it was left in standing water for a significant amount of time.
In an ideal work they would let you visit a Smyths (if one is close), you hand them a waterlogged box of bits, they crack open a brand new one for you, take the Switch 2 and joycons out, and you do a trade of box and accessories. But the real world is rarely so idealistic.
