What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Just got delivery of a Mister Pi mega pack. This is a clone of an FPGA sbc called the DE10 Nano and is used for emulating retro gaming hardware.

It cost $160 for the clone board, a 128mb ram dimm, an analogue i/o board and the usb hub. The board it's a clone of is €260 without the accessories.

Oooh this sounds interesting - forgive my ignorance, but how do you use it - is it for sticking into your pc only or can it work like a console device with universal controllers? - and which console games can you use it for?

it's a standalone unit for playing emulated games (up to PS1 level at the moment). think of it like a Raspberry Pi but much fancier.
the difference here is that it has a special hardware chip, an FPGA, that can be programmed to copy the chips in the original consoles.
so the emulation is hardware based, and not software based as your PC does
this means that you are playing the games exactly as they were originally intended.
it's pretty cool and this new Mister Pi package is a lot cheaper than previous versions and by all accounts is just as good
the systems that it supports are listed here

Yeah, the most the MiSTer project can handle is the PS1, Saturn and N64. There is a new FPGA project working on a Dreamcast core, but there are concerns about the legitimacy of this.

As this is emulating the hardware any quirks or slow down exhibited on original hardware will also occur on MiSTer.

Received today what is most likely the best figure I now own. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of a room renovation atm, so the pictures I can take now aren't the best and don't show even 20% of how incredible this thing looks in person. I seriously don't think I've ever encountered a figure that has as much of a literal presence as this one does (Though it does require a careful touch to get him standing without him doing a splits lol).

The Dirty Pair Kickstarter goodies are finally making their way out to backers - unfortunately, my Kei Lamp Standee was absent from the package (I ordered it later on as an add-on), so am hoping they can send this separately. They also provided a 20% discount code for the Crunchyroll store as an apology for the delays with the overall project (not pictured obviously as I’ll make use of it soon enough.)

My Dirty Pair Kickstarter stuff was supposed to arrive today, but Fedex had some sort of delay and notified me they changed my delivery to Friday. So you got your stuff shipped internationally before I got mine here in the US... And finally, someone took a closeup photo of the shot glasses - those will be getting heavy use in my house, since my buddies and I get together every weekend to drink heavily, lol! I'm actually hoping I can purchase a set or two more from any US backers who aren't really interested in the shot glasses, and want to sell them to me!

EDIT: Oh wow, I just noticed each standee has a full RGB controller? So you can set a bunch of lighting sequences, they are not just one color? Awesome!
