I'd like to say yes, but as far as I know it wasn't really their intention, their titles of songs are more straight forward than anything like "My head is full of teeth" and "We are the 18th largest town in Britain"

I didn't really think it was. I just thought it was funny because The Cure's "Pornography" is known as a particullarly heavy album, hence putting it on and wanting to die would be a natural reaction among many.
