Alexi Laiho's lack of singing ability is made up by the fact his growling is ace, and the
music makes up for it. I'm a fan of Archeon, thier growling/singing sucks balls, i'll confess to that, however, the guitar parts are ace. The solos are brilliant. Sure, they arent the most played thing I have, but they certaintly don't have the lowest play count.
In regards to my 'close mindedness', i'm into other genres than just metal too. Red Hot Chili Peppers were my favorite band for 3 years. Hardly metal, are they?
Pink Floyd - They're incredible. I still listen to them semi-regularly and have seen Roger Waters performing twice.
Jethro Tull - They're a folk band. Need I say more?
King Crimson - Prog Rock. Again, need I say more?
Thing is, when it comes to metal- i'm fussy. Sure, I can imagine the MSN conversation you're reffering to, however, there is more to things that what i've said to you on msn in the past.
If you don't mind, can we carry this on, on msn? It's just spamming the hell out of this thread.
Oh and regarding the "redundant" stuff I posted, it's try and use examples of what I mean to explain things to you. And when reffering to "Singing", that infact covers all styles. Growling is a type of singing
When I was saying he was a bad singer, I meant, no matter what way you look at it, he sounds horrible.
