Bit wank that the Star Blazers 2199 blu rays are locked, while the Japanese volumes are region free, plus no edits.

Just checked, no one has the series on Blu-ray so it's untested from what I know. I would say it's a 50/50 chance given that the series is available to us on iTunes.

Blimey, only one. I wish FUNi had a similar bypass since most of the stuff I'm interested/buy in come from them.

Well I wouldn't say it was the only one (as far as I know out of all of the Sentai sets tested it was the only one that didn't work) but I would say the first Blu-rays Sentai brought out will probably not work with the Bypass. So that would be these few:
Ghost Hound: Complete Collection
Legends of the Dark King: A Fist of the North Star Story
Tears to Tiara: Complete Collection
Not long after that Canaan & Needless ended up working with the bypass (or Pop-up Menu).
