Overseas US: FUNimation Limited Edition, Anime Classics and S.A.V.E./Essentials releases

After the 'quiet' May month which saw no LE, Anime Classics or S.A.V.E. releases, FUNimation will release two Limited Editions during the month of June.

July sees three Limited Editions from FUNimation, and some odd decision(s) which releases get this treatment (filled under FUNi never ceases to amaze us)

Just when i was thinking that FUNimation trimmed down on their special releases, we see a lot of action for August. So here is what has been changed in the spreadsheet.

First before listing them below, FUNimation have re-designed the Anime Classics line and it will be called Classics from now. Also all Classics Blu-ray releases coming in August will no longer contain DVD's compared to their Limited Edition siblings released earlier. But they do come with digital copies, which is a thing FUNimation is doing recently for some releases. It also looks like the new Classics line will lose it's slipcovers in this re-design.

Also want to take the opportunity to give thanks to NormanicGrav, as his post here and his blog article here helps me a lot to keep the spreadsheet up-to-date.

So yeah, somehow this thread kinda halted at some moment don't ask me why, can't remember myself. I've meant to pick it up again on several occasions, but due to time constraints (among them watching way to many anime :) ) it never happened.

Your post might just be the trigger to actually maintaining the spreadsheet again. First part will be the hardest getting the spreadsheet up-to-date again, so I'll probably do this in parts.
 
Okay, put the money where my mouth is ;), is i believe an expression applying to me when i say i'm going to keep the spreadsheet up to date again from now on. So here goes, the first batch of updates have been done for September up to November 2018.

With a big thanks for NormanicGrav's list above and also his excellent blog posts.

As most of you know FUNimation changed their Anime Classics and S.A.V.E lines to Classics and Essentials lines in August of last year. So in the spreadsheet the sheets for Classics and S.A.V.E. have been expanded to incorporate those new lines, with an extra column to distinguish between the old and new lines.

Yesterday i've added as much as possible information regarding regions and OOP status to the spreadsheet.

Sources used were my own collection, the FUNimation website (thanks to a VPN client) and back covers found in the application My Movies.
 
Updated region code information for several titles, 22 Limited Editions, 2 Anime Classics/Classics (2018), and 4 S.A.V.E./Essentials

Which releases were updated you might ask, well i could list them all here but to make the spreadsheet even more user friendly (i hope ;) ) i've added a column at the end which lists the last modification date for a row. So it's easy to see now which rows have been updated, and when they were last updated.

Added a new column to list the SRP for all titles. As i went through the spreadsheet i saw that three were actually missing from the S.A.V.E/Essentials sheet, those were Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid: The Complete Second Season (Anime Classics, 2017 release), Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu: The Complete Series (Anime Classics), and Gunslinger Girl Season 1-2 + OVA (Anime Classics)
 
A whole slew of releases in the three editions for July. 3 Limited Edition releases, although Black Clover Season 1 Part 5 is an odd one, four Classics, and a whopping 8 Essentials releases, so 15 releases in total.

Well, well, can a trend be seen here. This is now the third month in a row that there are exactly 15 titles in the 'special' FUNimation releases ... masaka :)

Anyways August sees two Limited Editions, two Classics 2018 releases, and 11 Essentials releases.
Danganronpa: The Animated Series and Inari Kon Kon see a second cheap release in the Essentials line, after being previously receiving a S.A.V.E. release. And Trinity Blood gets a second Classics release although the previous Anime Classics release was DVD only.
