The Kaguya cover is simple yet clearly shows just how beautiful the animation is. I'm really hoping StudioCanal do another Deluxe Edition, a film this gorgeous deserves it.
Yeah StudioCanal do collectors editions for all of the new releases, as they did one for Ponyo, Arrietty, Poppy Hill, The Wind Rises and now Kaguya and eventually Marnie. I take it is due to them having more material when a film is new, although I was hoping that they'd buck the trend when they released Mononoke and Spirited Away.

Below are links to the Amazon listings. It's obvious that the artwork isn't final, I mean apart from the text saying so at the bottom but also due to the spine having no numbering :p Amazon says it's out in December, but that's a placeholder...I hope :p

Is that its actual release date or just a place holder in that respect?

I'm 100% sure that it's a placeholder. I'm guessing it'll be out in the next 2 months or so. I think it's still doing its theatrical run in the UK.

Figured I should take notes regarding the third Kill la Kill Box #3 art. No harm in making a post about it without any complaints right?

This is the First Print Exclusive Box that comes with Box #3 as we all know:

What's on the spine is Mako from the third Japanese volume:

The front cover is from the seventh Japanese volume (or fourth Aniplex of America set). As for the back cover, it should be from from the eighth Japanese volume (which is also the back cover for the fourth AoA set). And since we were all wondering where they could place the final cover from the nineth Japanese volume (or fifth Aniplex of America set), they added it to the First Print box.

That's all I know about the set until they eventually reveal it. The only thing that I'm curious about now is what's going to fill the extra space in the box since we have a digipack slot for Episodes 20 to 24 & the OVA. Box #1 had the Storyboard Book and Key Art Collection from Volume 1, and Box #2 had Key Art Collections from Volumes 2 & 3. So I'm going to guess that Box #3 will have the Key Art Collections from Volumes 5 & 7. There are Artboard Books in Volumes 4 & 6 and the Key Art Collection in Volume 9 but I don't think those would be cleared for release. Drama CDs are never picked up in any English release while the Original Soundtrack and DVD Interviews are restricted to Aniplex of America.

That actually looks really nice. It's not what I had in mind, but by no means is it a bad thing. It seems that someone took inspiration from the old limited edition Gurren Lagann artbox.
I didn't really have any plans on purchasing any more UK Kill La Kill sets past the first any time soon due to owning the Aniplex sets, but this may just make me reconsider...

I'm so happy they managed to get Mako in the art work on one of the covers :thumb:

I adore the art box, it's sleek and simple..not overdone & busy like that one from Australia (I think) posted in another thread.

I was thinking that, it does look similar to the Beez GL box. That box is lovely and sturdy so I welcome any similarities.

I don't really see the similarities to the Lagann Beez DVD box, which I own two of for some weird reason :p The digipaks with that were awesome, really sturdy but the art on them were full of spoilers which always sucks :p

More likely to be late July or early August...
