Given restrictions faced, we went with the safer options there - so if you have the original Bandai Visual USA version then there's no need to buy ours objectively unless you really love the film . Not complaining if folks do but no point beating round the bush I figure on it!

Minor stuff, but I do feel that it hurts the otherwise clean presentation. You do seem to have cleaned the covers up a bit, with the Obi with KLK and such (I assume this comes with an obi too?) but little things like that could help in making them look that much sharper, especially for the more expensive releases.
Obviously a little bit ignorant of myself since you have to have some info somewhere on the box, and I'm sure you've done your research on it and how it makes your sets easier to discern etc. Just wondering I guess. Also, surprised that the name of the film isn't on the front of the box, guessing that would be on the Obi? I'm fine with that, just from the perspective of a general anime buyers view, pointing out that it's a film but not the name itself on the front seems interesting
Look forward to future releases, keep up the good work! I really do appreciate effort in the packaging and such, its a big part of the anime experience for me so that effort doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.

I like the brand template too but I can understand the criticisms that many people have, given the US sets are just simply the title of the show with some small details for company & format (a la Funimation).
If Anime Limited had the option to change the design template (or as I would like to call it, Season 2 or 'the next phase'):
- Have it similar to Giovanni's Island's Ultimate Edition (pretty much a plain spine) but have the title on the spine
- Make the slipcase slightly bigger to include format ('Blu-ray and DVD'), BBFC, type of edition (say 'Limited Edition') and logo (@)
- Everything else stays the same (I do love the Kill la Kill sets, which started this new trend)
This would basically mean that it would look like a Funimation Limited Edition set but has the Anime Limited slipcase to go along with it.
Also, I did find the Professor Layton comment pretty hilarious when I saw it on the Facebook page.
qaiz said:Yeah if I didn't have the Bandai Visual version, let it be known that I would have no qualms purchasing your version of the film, it does look to be a nice package overall, and like I said, I'm really glad that it was picked up by yourselves for UK release. I suspect that overall this will mimic the KLK set, apart from the box being a bit slimmer due to the slimmer book? That seems fine to me, although I do in the end prefer the keep cases that came with the US release, specially as the art that came with them was gorgeous

Thanks for the reply Ah so this will make use of an o-card, that makes sense overall. I sound like I'm nitpicking, but with yourselves carrying the torch of sorts for high end releases in the UK, and with your releases being very close to perfect I feel like chiming in when I get the chance (especially with you always listening and commenting). I see you experimenting and iterating with each release, whether it's the top loading Space Dandy or the clean Giovanni's Island, the KLK obi or the keep case with Blood Lad, I'm hoping that the feedback from the very vocal but loving community has been of useanime_andrew said:Bingo on that mimicking it !
We're looking at some re-design points actually at the moment so watch this space. Likely later this year to mark what is crazily enough our third birthday so I am keeping in mind what folks say there .
Re the person asking if film / TV - I am pretty sure they were being snarky (although I also answered their query to be safe).
We're actually doing a complete O-CARD on this one as it's a FR / UK release so the reason behind the FILM being on the rigid is actually a slip and it'll likely be off on the final release actually as if it's on the O-CARD, no need to have it on the main artbox after all so folks have a choice. We listened and kept the logo etc on the spine though for consistency sakes with other Collector's product we did .
Hope this answers some stuff and definitely keeping stuff in mind !

Probably because Marika was featured heavily in the series' marketing, so they might not have had access to a group shot without her?Mangaranga said:What's Marika doing on the DVD cover? She doesn't even appear in the first half of the series.
Jon O Fun said:If they can't even be bothered translating the box I'm fully expecting another 'bakuman' from the Kaze super release team in terms of subs (have they even said it's sub only yet?).
And is it just me or is that Manga logo getting smaller and smaller, to the point they couldn't even be bothered putting it on the Nisekoi DVD.
