I know nothing about this anime but it may or maybe not be uncut.
It says on the front cover "completely uncensored". So yes this got through uncut.

The made in abyss movie is great. A brilliant adaptation the the Manga arc, can't wait for it to come. Still wish MVM would have done some kind of CE for it like the Steelbook that the US got but oh well.

Just to be sure this is a joke right? The text on the box is in English so I'm not sure what the issue is here. In any case MVM is often limited in what they are allowed to use for cover art so I wouldn't call it laziness.

Why would it be a joke, it's definitely lazy not to change American words to English such as maximiZing or theatER on a British release.

It's just that I personally don't think it's too big an issue and more of a trivial nitpick so this reaction is fascinating to me. If you think this is bad wait until you see the subtitles. I wouldn't worry about it.
