Now that's suprising, considering who made the original work the anime is based on and which other thing she originally created!

I enjoyed Wakaba＊Girl, it's short, relaxing, funny, and has a likable cast. It's worth a shot!

I had no idea! Looking at the character designs though, I can definitely see it now. Will certainly be something I check out!

I remember liking the character designs of Wakaba Girl, but I don't think it ended up being overly popular in the season it aired.

I recall Wakaba*Girl being mildly enjoyable but it also didn't stand out much. I suppose it having short episodes probably limited what it could do but it also felt like it was holding back and deliberately avoiding being anything other than light and easy to watch.

Apparently it aired in the same season as Gakkou Gurashi / School Live! (which I should really get around to watching), Himouto! Umaru-chan and Non Non Biyori Repeat, so I guess there was some tough competition at the time. It'd also have been in the middle of that glorious time where we had second seasons of Kinmoza, Non Non Biyori and Gochiusa over the course of three seasons (maybe that I remember it at all amongst all that is a good sign, though I'm not sure I remember many details of what actually happens in it).

My Love Story / Ore Monogatari was another highlight of that time, I'll have to pick up a copy at some point.
