It doesn't need to be an either-or situation, you're right there, but ultimately resources are finite (though SC have deeper pockets than most) and someone's time is going to be taken up by this .

The first point is interesting, while I suppose there is a chance that rights can be more difficult to iron out for older titles presumably there's more competition for newer ones = higher licensing fees?
